Nives Nymfaio Νυμφαίο — Hotel in Amyndeo Municipality

We stayed at Nives for a night in June 2010. The guest house is situated very neatly in the village of Nymphaion and offers parking choice. ||What's important about this guest house is that it is actually one of the few really old buildings of the village (most of the rest are newly built). Staying in Nives offers you the authentic experience of staying in a mountain village house built about a hundred years ago with its original frescoes conservated.||Though an old residence it is excellently renovated with all modern comforts and very elegantly furnished. ||The owner was very polite, offered lots of information on the village's history and suggested ideas for trips nearby. We really felt welcome. The breakfast was excellent, serviced in an elegant hall under the residence. ||We got a lovely room at a very logical price and will definitely stay there again when we visit Nymphaion.||I would post photographs but they didn't do justice to the place. My mother and I decided to visit Nymphaion in mid-October 2019 on a whim while road tripping throughout northern Greece. Owner/manager Theodore was very accommodating over the phone when assisting with our late reservation. Theodore was very helpful, extremely kind, and super knowledgeable about the history and sites of the town and region. The rooms offered are beautifully decorated in traditional motifs that made it feel like this was my second second home in the mountains. I can honestly say that we had our best nights sleep at Nives. The breakfast offered was excellent and locally sourced. Clean, quiet, convenient, and warmly welcomed -I will definitely recommend Nives to anyone who asks (and even those who don’t). Overall experience was great, and we will be back....
