My wife and I spent several delightful days at the Villa Krini in October. It is located in a renovated two story building in the Kampos area of Chios about 2km from the airport and 4-5km from Chios town. Major portions of the guest building date back to about 1800. Katrin and John are marvelous hosts and serve a killer breakfast. The area is a bit off of the beaten track, but you can walk to the beach and there is some bus service nearby. The owner John (a retired ship captain- who speaks fluent English) can give you hints on places to visit and even arrange a rental car. Villa Krini is a working farm with oranges, chickens, geese, and even a goat. We visited in "low" season, so the cool family suite was available and we stayed there. The rooms are clean, quiet and reasonable. The B&B rooms are on the second floor, but the shared patio up there offers a neat view of the farm with chairs and tables. With prior notice, John can probably pick you up at the airport or the ferry in town. He is quite responsive on email at Dimiyannis@gmail.com|| Chios is steeped in history, with recorded history going back to 400BC. It is a unique Greek experience. The Island is really unspoiled by tourism, and offers the kind of experience that travelers crave Top places to visit: Mesta town, Pirgi town, Neo Mone Monestary, the Archelogical Museum in town, the walled town, and the busy waterfront...

İt was fun to take walks in Kambos in the afternoons. . The old part was a maze of narrow passages not more than 3 meters wide, finding our way was like solving a puzzle for us every afternoon . ||Feeding the chickens, birds and the sheep every morning. for our 7 year old daughter Kayra, it was like spending a week in her grandparents house, who spoke another language than her own. ||We would like to thank once more to this lovely couple Yannis and Katerina whom we feel now like close relatives in Chios, for their priceless effort to protect, the historic beauty, of the old stone cottage and the effort to sustain the citrus gardens. ||We look forward to being in...
Read moreAbsolutely recommended! We stayed as a family for a week at Krini Rooms. We wouldn’t have found a better place than here as Mr. Yannis, Mrs. Katerina and their lovely grandchildren are amazing hosts. We enjoyed our stay a lot, especially the nice conversations we had with Mr. Yannis and Mrs. Katerina. Both are very helpful and gave many suggestions about the island. The location is perfect, it is few minutes by car to Chios centre and Karfas Beach, around 30 min to the Southern medieval towns, to Mastic Museum and other parts of the island. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast includes homemade jams and orange juice from their garden. 😋 We would like to definitely come back here..we left this beautiful place and family with great memories. ❤️ Thanks for everything! Wishing you all...
