Hydrama Grand Hotel — Hotel in Drama Municipality

Hydrama Grand Hotel is a really nice place, the building is renovated and new and it is next to a beautiful lake. In overall, I was happy with the hotel and the service. But although we chose a room with a lake view, the view was restricted, it was like if you go really close to the left side of the window, you are able to see a lake view. This room should have a lower price or it should be written while doing the reservation. But the room was really clean and fully equiped especially in the bathrooms but I would also add a coffee machine and some tea options to such a nice hotel’s room, these were missing. The big disappoinment for me and my husband was the new year eve’s dinner in the hotel. It costed extra 80 euros for one person and it was without even a soft drink. I had the worst dinner I’ve had in all Greece, only the pumpkin soup was nice but all the other were really poor, even the wine was really bad with additional cost. The hotel informed us that the dinner will start at 21:00 so we got ready and went to the dinner accordingly but they started to serve after 22:00 and we waited 1 hour and 15 minutes even starting with a soup and some bread. The music was nice but the entertainment was really weak. So with that cost we would have a much better dinner for new year eve in Drama. I suggest this hotel to the visitors but please look at to the other alternatives for a new year eve’s dinner in Drama, you can have a much better dinner and a good drink with a better price. This hotel we visited gave a good impression as we checked in. They asked, wether to stay on the springs side or the road side of the hotel. Rooms are equipped far better and modern style as most european hotels. Toilet was from science fiction movie. Also electronically adjustable shower room glass to see thru or not. Electronically adjustable roll curtains and enormous tv. Bed was sturdy and firm with pillow menu. Mini bar is by your choice...minimum or fully charged. We choosed to take a hot bath and steam cabin at the wellness side, followed by 30 minutes of relax massage. Was very relaxing. However breakfast is nothing special at this place, few selections of cold cuts...tomato, cucumber, cheese and meat. Some selection of bacon, sausage. You can ask also the cook to make you an omelet. The service was sluggish, as they did not come to ask...would you like a special coffee or so...you needed to reach out to the staff to ask it. Outside service to the terass was quick also. I ate pasta penne what was delicious. 3 stars only...breakfast service is something to...

My expirience was the worst! When we booked they said that the facility would be used exclusively by our reservation only. When arrived, no one was there after a few minutes when the woman came was talking to another woman trying to show her the spa facilities knowing that my reservation was already running giving priority to someone that has not a reservation the time that 15 minutes out of 60 of my reservation were passing . She told us that the jacuzzi was taken so we could not use it. I asked her how was that possible when we have a reservation for this hour. She said that spa facilities are used by other people at the same time, and that should be misunderstanding in the call. Then she told us that we can have at least jacuzzi but only 2 people were allowed the time that our reservation was for 3 people from the first time. It was uacceptable for a 5star hotel spa and not even talking about crystal cave because...
