Our stay at this hotel was amazing. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was modern and the shower had great pressure, the little kitchenette was stocked with some plates and cutlery which came in handy. The room was bright and very large, and there was some storage for clothes and bags. There was very nice air conditioning in the room. Everything was clean and well kept. I loved the lobby and breakfast area. It was vintage and cute with many decorative features. The staff were amazing and very helpful and kind to our family. They went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed. Even when there were only 4 of us present for breakfast one morning, the staff of 2 kept bringing out plate after plate directly to our table of authentic Greek food (pita, sausage, yoghurt, honey, fresh squeezed juices) and Western staples like bacon, eggs (3 ways), croissants, cereal, toast and jam. There was so much food left on our table and we were so appreciative of the effort, since it might not have been eaten by other guests that morning and it wasn't a problem to serve us a great variety. They also offered us free bottles of water and freshly made coffees throughout the day.||Parking underground fits about 2-3 cars, with direct access to the elevator that takes you up to the lobby and upper floor. The rooms we were given had their own access up a flight of stairs behind the lobby entrance. It felt like your own home because of that, and it looked beautiful. There were two tortoises on the terrace that hid in the grass too, and were really cute to spot walking around! I've uploaded some photos of the property, and would definitely come back to stay here if given the chance and do the same thing and drive to Ioannina for nightlife/food, instead of staying in Ioannina. Driving and parking there just seemed too crazy and it seems better to stay 10 minutes away and have some peace and excellent...
Read moreOn our trip last winter to Epirus and to Macedonia in northern Greece, we stayed in a suite at the Haones. The room was spacious, comfortable, very pleasantly decorated; It had a living room with fireplace, a small kitchen ..... the accommodation was magnificent but nothing to do with the treatment provided. Antigone took care of us as if we were from her own family and thanks to her the hotel worked perfectly.||As if this were not enough, every morning, Aphrodite (the pastry maker) gave us the best sweets I've ever tasted after my aunt and sister did when I was little. They were as rich as only the homemade sweets can be, with the best products and all the care to cook for your family.||I take this opportunity to thank them for how much they facilitated our stay in Ioannina and all the...
Read moreThis boutique-y beauty of a place in Perama, a hop and skip from Ioannina, is wonderful. Antigone at the front desk was hyper-competent, highly informative and engaging, and our suite was vast and perfectly appointed, with a great bathroom and kitchenette and a little balcony. There's free parking nearby, it's a cinch to get to the hipsterism and history of Ioannina (and, of course, Perama), and the breakfast is outstanding. Everything is beautifully prepared and presented, from local cheese and vegetable pies and the excellent custard bougatsa to superb coffee. In short, this is a highly clued-up, professional operation. One of the highlights of our long and winding road trip up through the 'lakelands' of...
