Papa's Rooms — Hotel in Istiaia-Aidipsos Municipality

😊: The incredible hospitality from the Papas family was truly special and even receiving biscuits the morning of my departure was such a beautiful touch.

I only stayed for one night and paid for two so I arranged an early check-in and late departure but unfortunately, they can't do this in height of summer season but you can request it. It's the perfect location in the village with the most magnificent sunset views from the bedrooms and from the roof top terrace, for swimming I walked out the front door and right onto the beach which is ideal for those early morning or sunset swims.

I also loved being able to make use of the washing machine and tumble drier which I never do but everything was so impeccably clean and neat it was an absolute pleasure to make use of.

The accommodation and rooms are also so neat and tidy and one of the cleanest places I have stayed in. They have just finished upgrading all the rooms so they are all self catering which is a huge bonus but the village itself has an amazing array of tavernas, 3 supermarkets and so many more cafetarias.

Do also visit the local church right on the beachfront to experience a taste of the authentic Greek way of life.

You will be pleasantly surprised by feeling at home at this special establishment and I would highly recommend it.. 😢: There really isn't anything I didn't dislike but when booking understand that everything is truly a traditional feel and not a 5 star luxury resort which I loved, but note that the bathroom is still an old Greece style with hand shower only but I knew this on booking and it is definitely all part of the adventure which is truly special.

I suggested they install some fittings so the shower head can stand on its own. I really cant thank the Papas family enough for their brilliant...

Wir waren spontane Gäste von PapasRooms, und blieben eine ganze Woche. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und flexibel. Man verständigt sich mit einem der Gastgeber gut auf Englisch. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt. In den Apartments gab es alles, was man braucht: Frische Wäsche, Klimaanlage, Kühlschrank + Tiefkühlschrank, Spülbecken, Ofen+Herd-Kombigerät, Stühle und Tisch und ein kleines Badezimmer. Die technischen Geräte funktionierten alle, Warmwasser war mit einem Boiler ebenfalls und genug vorhanden. Wir hatten das Glück mehrere Räume sehen zu dürfen, und haben auch eines der Zimmer mit Balkon und Meerblick bewohnen dürfen. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Badezimmer ist zwar etwas klein, und manchmal fehlt ein Duschvorhang, aber mangeln tut es in PapasRooms wirklich an nichts. Wofür die Gastgeber nichts können, sind die Hunde in der Stadt, die gerne mal bellen. Moskitonetz an den Fenstern wären noch super, das gab es nicht. Aber da wir in einer sehr regnerischen Zeit dort waren, können wir sagen: trotz Mücken haben wir gut geschlafen (gute Matratzen) - als Tipp: vorm Schlafengehen auf "Jagd" gehen, und danach unversehrt schlafen.

Die Dachterasse ist wirklich toll und gemütlich. Zwischen grünen Pflanzen kann man mit einem entspannten Getränk (natürlich selber mitbringen), den Sonnenuntergang genießen (siehe Foto).

Wenn einer eine Reise tut, hat später was zu Erzählen. ;)

Loved our stay at Papa’s Rooms! Beautiful peaceful location. Owners and staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, they helped organise a taxi for us to the port so we could catch our ferry to Skiathos and even got a room ready and let us stay a night earlier as we had muddled our dates up. Rooms and shared spaces are all very clean and well looked after. We loved that we could use the shared kitchen and then eat our breakfast on the balcony watching the beautiful view. Would love to...
