This was probably one of our favorite hotels in Greece.|Everything about this property was just wonderful!|Let's start with the owner who made us feel right at home, gave excellent tips on food and activities and generally speaking was just a great guy to talk with.||The rooms themselves are beautiful and very very very clean.|Whoever designed this place deserves a reward for relaxing simplicity with a touch of unpretentious luxury (Guy Laroche linnen as an example)|The view from the rooms was also glorious!|And the location is spectacular for those that are looking for quiet relaxation in the mountains, honestly you can almost feel the silence here!||Shower was a lot of fun with different massage points and excellent pressure. |We also used the heating system in the room as the nights got fairly cold, and noted how fast and efficient the system was in heating the room and bathroom. ||WiFi worked well too if that is something that is important to you.... ||The only two things I would note are:|1. The bed was a bit too firm for our liking (in contrast to the ridiculously comfortable blanket and pillows)... A softer mattress would have gone a long way but that's just me.|2. Breakfast is basic European standard, mainly coffee and pastries. I personally prefer eggs and vegetables but that's just me. Greek coffee which is served here is fantastic too!||All in all we had a great stay and would be more than happy...
Read moreIf you want to spend your vacation in the nature, you should definitely stay at least one night in this hotel. It is one of the first buildings you encounter upon entering the Megalo Chorio village, one of the few villages along the Karpenisiotis river with points of interest to visit, and things to do throughout the day. It is almost 600 meters from the main square, where you will find coffee, food, sweets and also small shops with local products and souvenirs. In addition your host, Spyros, may help you find other ways to enjoy nature. From hiking (Megalo Chorio - Kaliakouda's peak mountain trail) and day trips (Panta Vrechi gorge) to mountain biking or even horse riding. There are also activities for children in the greater area (Saloon Park, The Newton Park), but also within a walking distance, since the Agios Athanasios tavern is only 100 meters away and it has a large playground and delicious food. For easier transportation it would be nice to have your own vehicle, but the roads are in good condition and no off-road adventures are needed in most cases. I use to visit Levanta mostly during August as solo, as a couple and also as a family and I have always enjoy my stay. I highly...
Read moreWe stayed at Levanta for 4 days during the New Year. The hotel is an excellent choice, combining, very good location ( on the outskirts of Megalo Chorio, around 10 min walk from the centre), comfortable rooms decorated with nice furnishings, amazing views, very warm and spacious, clean and above all very competitive rates.||||The hotel is small and offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The lobby/ cafe area is again very well designed and tastefully decorated, and has a nice fireplace where you can relax enjoying the mountain views ||||The owner, Spyros is very friendly but at the same time professional. The hotel offers a good selection for breakfast. In overall this is an excellent choice at a reasonable price and we hope to return at...
