Positives: beachfront, nice sea view from the suite, some of staff were helpful, breakfast was good (not a big choice but enough for me and my family)
Negatives: Owner doesn’t greet his guests at all, doesn’ smile, owner is not helpful, they don’t provide baby cot and they don’t allow you to bring your cot because owner said that it is against law ??? and there is no space for it in the room (total non-sense) if you reserve suite that is suitable for four adults and you plan to come with a kid that sleeps between you on double bed, the owner pushes you to reserve another room, parking is not included in price you have to pay 5€ per day and parking is about 500 meters away from the hotel near the LIDL, sunbeds are not included for hotel guests, you have to pay 5€ per person. The owner pushes his staff to ask guests to order drink immediately when you take the sunbed. It seems owner is only interested in money. I’ve been to Greece about 20 times but this experience was the worst.(iam still talking about human factor) I like to pay for good service but this stay was not worth these money because of strange behaviour and business style...
We booked a Junior Suite at Hotel Alkyon in Paralia and are extremely angry and disappointed. The hotel is outrageously overpriced and in an unacceptable, dirty condition. The room is so small that it’s hard to move – calling it a Junior Suite is completely misleading.
The shower is tiny and practically unusable – suitable only for very slim people. The wardrobes are old, broken, and filthy. We found thick dust and dirt under the beds – clearly, proper cleaning is not being done. On top of that, there were spider webs all over the room – on the ceiling, in the corners, and even on the furniture. This is absolutely unacceptable.
This hotel does not meet even basic standards and we strongly advise against staying here.
Angrily
Read moreENG. A hotel with an extraordinary central position, right next to the central square, church, beach and shopping center. Unfortunately, the rooms are not spacious enough, and the bathroom is designed in such a way that you have to stand with your foot in the tub when using the toilet. Our room had another major shortcoming in the sense that the window opened to the wall of the neighboring hotel, 1.5 m from it, no view, no daylight. Probably due to sanitary protection measures, but breakfast (it was the only meal taken in the hotel) was somewhat strange: the dishes were displayed like at a Swedish buffet, but you were not allowed to serve yourself, you had to wait for them to serve you a waitress. With a piece of that, with two slices of the other, with a teaspoon of that, with three drops of oil or five of vinegar, etc. Fresh preparations, but poorly diversified. The hotel has an elevator, a parking space at the entrance where you can leave your car for 1/2 hour to download/load, and for 5 euros/day you get the key to a parking space located approximately 500 m from the hotel. RO.
