Mediterranean Princess — Hotel in Katerini Municipality

we spent 5 nights at the gorgeous hotel as part of our 50th wedding anniversary celebrations, we're doing alot with family, but we just wanted some days away to ourselves. the hotel is 2 km in either direction from olympic beach and Paralia. we walked to iether every day and it was lovely. we had a beautiful 3rd floor room, superking bed, safe, fridge, tea & coffee making, big walk in shower. A brighter light in the bathroom would be nice! the room was very big and comfortable, stretched out on the chaise lounge more than once!|the balcony was simply furnished and had a beautiful view of the immaculate pool and ocean. the bed was very comfortable, and as it was a bit chilly, we had a big fluffy blanket too!|the foyer and dining area was fabulous, so clean, so grown up! comfy seating and everywhere had a touch of sophistication, charm and decadence. Absolutely loved it!|the food was more than good! breakfast was amazing, different hot dishes each day the omlette was superb! so much choice and beautifully presented.|dinner was also very varied, the meat dishes were very good, our compliments to the chefs, the soup could have been warmer! the menu changed daily, octopus, beef, rabbit, whole fish, chicken, pork, lamb. lots of choice for the non meat eaters too.|the desserts are awesome, as my now tight jeans can verify!|the pool area is, as i said, immaculate. the quality sunbed and very comfortable, plentiful and umbrellas and canopies.|the pool was too chilly for me, but this just means i have to come back in a warmer month!|the hotel provides car rental, and its better value than shopping around in the internet, we'll definitely use this facility next time.|As yet, i havent said what the best thing about this hotel was.|The staff!|They are amazing, friendly, helpful, the restaurant staff are super efficient, the housekeepers do such a fab job, our room was squeaky clean every day!|the front desk were always smiling and ready to help.|i cannot thank you all enough, our short break was one of the best ever.|We will not hesitate to book again, its a wonderful hotel.|kind...

Fantastic hotel overall.

Rooms We had the ground floor rooms which is great for me, they smelt a bit damp when we first entered and think that the cleaning staff need some nice fresh products to use as it never smelt freshly cleaned...balcony was not cleaned the whole time we were there.

Food The food was excellent, loads to choose from and a brilliant salad bar. The desserts were absolutely amazing and the best I've eaten in a relatively small hotel. My only gripe is there is no free water with the evening meals, we got this where ever we went but not the hotel and it wasn't cheap 3.50€ for 750ml sparkling water.

Service Exceptional...serving staff all so lovely and polite, the reception staff were also very friendly and helpful. Night staff Dominic (this was the English version of his name, sorry I can't remember the Greek) was great, told us to visit some places off the tourist tracks and gave us the GPS for the sat nav. I hired a car for 2 days through the hotel, there is a poster in reception, thus worked out to be a cheap and flexible way to explore the area, great car, excellent service and would highly recommend a car...the roads are easy to navigate.

Pool The pool area is beautiful and well kept. The sun loungers are plentiful and no one reserves them which is so refreshing, there is no need to wake up at the crack of dawn, you will get a bed any time of the day.

Overall a fabulous holiday and I...

They say you should never go back for fear of disappointment so it was with some trepidation that we chose to spend some time this year in the hotel after an excellent stay in late May in 2018. As ever we were welcomed at reception by the receptionist and Mr George the manager. We need not have worried. our room was comfortable, well equipped and well maintained. Linen and towels were changed on request but after three days regardless. The staff had a few new faces but were predominantly unchanged since last year. There was a fabulous mix of nationalities and everyone seemed happy. We thought the food, though very good indeed did not offer the same outstanding variety and quality as last year. Our air conditioning unit seemed to be malfunctioning and though it made noises didn't seem to be cooling the air. We reported it as we left. There was a hugely enjoyable evening's entertainment on the Friday where live music and singing encouraged some guests to dance. After the first set the manager demonstrated his musical abilities by playing guitar and singing. A man of many talents indeed. We discovered that the hotel is to be extended later in the year. I do hope the atmosphere...
