PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT WE WERE THE ONLY CUSTOMERS AT THE TIME (7 pm) - only 2 of their staffers were eating at another table
First of all the location is not correct. We had to wonder around for 5-6 minutes until we figured out where it is. Before we came in we wanted to check the menu from the front of the restaurant first, but the person who greeted us kept on insisting we come inside to look. After we decided to come in he suggested us a table, which had the sheets dirty (he noticed that after we sat and tried to change it in a hurry). They had like 3 people come to us (1 was a beginner who bought us what we ordered, the other one was the greeter and the last one took our order). The person who took our order was very nice: he presented us the fishes and oysters available at the time, he was polite and professional. The waiter was very clumsy: he spilled my beer all over the table and plate, he bought us the receipt as soon as we ordered, but it was incorrect as the receipt was meant for their colleagues who were eating, he came from time to time only to look at us without saying any word and I had to help him to put the plates down on the table because I was afraid they would end up as my beer. Now lets get back to the experience. After we ordered the food didn't come at the same time like it should, so we either had to eat before or to eat the food colder, they forgot to bring us 1 meal so one of us had to look at us and eat some of our fries - if I didn't ask them for the missing meal (calamari rings) they would have not remembered! (how can they forget - we were the only one sitting at the time and we only ordered 1 meal per person?!?!). We have found hairs in: the sea food salad, in the tzatziki and in one of our deserts! My fish was pretty bland and it had one patch looking fairly green (I'm not an expert when it comes to fishes so it might be normal). The atmosphere wasn't that good as the tables were right near the street and people kept on shouting and the music kept on breaking out, the speakers were making weird noises - we only wanted to eat and go as fast as possible. And at the end we wanted to order one type of white wine (retsina) but they bought us a more expensive white wine even though they confirmed they understood the order. All in all it was a terrible experience. We wanted to eat some good meals, have a good time and then rest, but it turned out little by little into a stressful evening. Would...
Read moreAbout Nautilus Restaurant This is the sixth restaurant we’ve visited so far on our vacation. We ordered our usual favorites: fried calamari, zucchini, and tzatziki. Unfortunately, the calamari were disappointing—you could only taste the fried coating, and they were overcooked. The zucchini dish strangely came with French fries 😅. The bifteki was burnt, and all you could taste was an overpowering amount of parsley and the burnt flavor.
We were seated right next to the line of waiting guests, and one situation really made me angry: there was a single man waiting for a table, and when his turn came, the waiter said, “Oh, you are one,” and instead seated the couple behind him. When the man explained the situation to the manager, the manager simply said he couldn’t do anything. The man left after waiting in line…
THAT IS NOT HOW YOU DO BUSINESS. The food isn’t good, and with so many better restaurants nearby offering the same prices, I would suggest going...
Read moreOur journey with Nautilos began three years ago, when we spent two unforgettable weeks, dining there almost every day. Back then, everything was warm, welcoming, and deeply Greek — the atmosphere, the people, the genuine spirit of hospitality. The team made you feel as though you were truly on vacation, savoring every moment and every bite, leaving you longing to return. But over time, things have changed: the team, the energy, even the simple joy of dining there. Only the food and the music still echo the Greece we once knew. The lively conversations, the joy of eating “as if we were family,” the unexpected treat of a dessert on the house — all of that has faded away. It’s such a loss! This is how we came to know Greece and the Greek heart… and now, we miss what it used to be. Change is inevitable, yes, but not when it robs a place of its soul. We’ll search for that spirit of Greece elsewhere, and we are sure we are...
