We stayed here for 1 night on our way from Thermopylae to Athens. Loutra Ipatis is not near anything really except the town of Lamia and the site of the battle of Thermopylae. This hotel is very clean and comfortable with a lovely pool area. That's it. There are some thermal springs nearby that looked dirty and had barely lukewarm water. No restaurants were open nearby and we had to drive to Lamia to eat. There is no breakfast option at the hotel The owner doesn't speak English but manages to work out what you want and who you are. They are very friendly and make you welcome.It is excellent value for money, costing only 70 euros...

Read moreIt is about 20 min. driving from the centre, and is quiet and comfortable. It was about 30 min. driving to various sightseeing spots. Room is clean with a relaxing balcony. Room charge is reasonable. Breakfast is extra. Somebody helped us to pick up heavy luggages to the room. The grand dad was kind and helpful. There was also a big pool in the rear though I did not have time to enjoy it. Ther e was a local restaurant serving local food of medium price. Stewed lamb with rice was my favourite.
