Echinades Resort — Hotel in Lefkada Municipality

The owner is correct and kind, but the accommodation does not deserve the figure we paid, 170 euros per day. The accommodation is comfortable and nice, but seems very poorly maintained. There aren't enough dishes and utensils in the kitchen, everything is broken, different cups and glasses, and there aren't enough of them. Cutlery is only basic, there is not a single sharp knife for example, so if you want to cut watermelon or a piece of meat, that's already a problem. The bathroom doesn't seem clean at all, the glass on the shower cabin is all smeared as if it hasn't been cleaned. Towels are changed and cleaned only on the 4th day. The small table on the terrace is broken but propped up so that it seems to be ok. Twice the children fell leaning on it and once our coffee spilled from the small broken table. The chairs are also crooked, with broken legs on 2 out of 4. The yard was mowed while we were there, but only superficially, the grass around the edge of the pool remained uncut. And so, nothing that would spoil our vacation, but it's also not a nice feeling when you enter a dirty shower room and you don't have the feeling that the owner of the accommodation really cares about your comfort. Because everything I have listed does not require any big investment, but it does require attention and appropriate maintenance. However, you have peace and quiet, a beautiful yard, your own pool and all the conditions for a nice and pleasant vacation. Since I don't have an option to answer the owner's comment, I did this edit. We left 3 nights earlier because of some family issue and asked her if it is ok to pay only 1, not all 3 nights that we will not use. She agreed. This is not ok to write that we haven't paid the bill. We paid 1190 euros to spend 6 nights, instead of 9 in your accommodation. I hope the owner will consider my review as advice to do better maintenance of the place not a chance to argue with...

We had a wonderful time at Echinades Resort. Our small house was perfectly situated amidst greenery, with a private pool that offered our family privacy and tranquility. Our child especially enjoyed this setting.

The house was equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, from cutlery to mosquito tablets, towels, a hairdryer, an iron, and many other small essentials. The bed linen was changed every three days, which was a great plus. A private parking space was also provided.

Although it is not far from the city center, the accommodation is sufficiently secluded, allowing you to enjoy peace and the chirping of birds. The surroundings are beautiful, with lots of greenery that further contributes to the sense of relaxation and rest.

The owner, Georgina, is a quiet and unobtrusive person who is always available when you need her.

We have just returned from a week's holiday at Echinades (25/6/22). It's a totally peaceful and relaxing venue set in a rural location surrounded by wooded mountains offering stunning views. The harbour, with its numerous tavernas is about a 15-20 minutes easy walk away, we hired mountain bikes which halved the journey time. Each of the Echinades's 5 villas possess their own secluded pools and provide a cooling retreat from the Greek sun. for the price the villas are well appointed, new shower units and additional air conditioning have been provided since we were last there in 2019. Georgia is an excellent and helpful host e.g. she arranged our transfer to and from Preveza airport at a much cheaper rate than the airport taxis.
