Velouhi Restaurant — Restaurant in Lefkada Municipality

A nice place to drink some wine, a local beer and generally drink with the accompanying of live music. The 3 boys playing traditional Greek songs, were exceptional and really help the restaurant retain a good name out there. As for the food... well, mediocre is just about right. We had pita kontosouvli( a lot of fat) , a salad (cucumber and tomato which was ok), feta saganaki ( probably the best I tasted yesterday, ewe chops ( a loooot of fat) 1 litre of wine (very nice) a coke and a big meat plate for two containing a variety of meat( meat balls, sausage, pork steak, chicken). Chicken was burned and the part of the meat chosen was not my personal favourite, curring on the meat balls was exaggerating and the sausage was a type that we did not expect and not quite tasty. Fortunately the pork steak was decent. Potatoes were homemade. Overall we had fun but only because of the band (BRAVO GUYS, I HOPE HE OWNER PAYS YOU WELL) and the fact that we got drunk pretty fast. Stopped by with my wife,what a gem! Lucky for us they had a small band playing which was pleasing. Always ask the locals fir good spots. We had tirokafteri, kolokethakia for appetizers which were delicious. Our main meal was the shared platter off the karvouna. Which was delicious it had pork, chicken, lamb sausage that was the best I've ever had, chicken sausage, chicken filet a bit over done and lamb ribs, μπράβο σας ήταν τέλειο, θα σας δούμε πάλι. We came back and a big disappointment, although Antonis and Maria were great they gave us old kontosouvli, we were the first customers the chicken was dried as was the pork, when confronting Antoni about it he lied to our face, the spit of meat was untouched from when we got there. We got attacked by wasps. They were everywhere and all over the food. Staff tried to burn coffee but there were too many to control. In the end we got our food boxed for take away.
