Towervillas Mint Towers — Hotel in Lefkada Municipality

We had a fortnight in Lefkada, which we found an amazing island and stayed at Villa Elvira for 9 nights. Villa Elvira is a separate entity from the Tower Villas and is not overlooked in any way. It was very serene and perfectly private. Well we could not have asked for more from our hosts Gerard and Ella, we had a wonderful warm welcome from Gerard who showed us around the villa, and explained how to use the equipment such as the air conditioning and TV etc. They have an assistant called Mirella who is so friendly and happy she will certainly make your stay enjoyable. We found that if needed any spare towels or anything else they were supplied quickly and without any fuss. In fact if you ever find yourself short of a herb or a vegetable, it is more than probable Gerard will be able to source it from his gardens! The villa itself has breathtaking views over the bay of Vasiliki, we spent hours looking over the bay with a glass of wine (or two!) in our hands. Inside it is clean and very spacious and different zones to sit in both inside and out. My wife enjoyed the art which is around the villa, it seemed as though everyday we would notice something else. I appreciated the Bose music system, we were able to plug our iphones in through the wires and the sound was exceptional. Vasiliki had an ample array of Greek tavernas and we also enjoyed a day in nearby Sivota, a harbour decorated with beautiful tavernas and flowers. We have just returned from our second visit to Thyme Tower Villas and have already booked up for next year!||The villa has everything you need for a perfect holiday abroad. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, oven & hob, fridge/freezer, every kind of coffee making machine you could ask for, toaster, microwave & washing machine (last two items are in separate utility room).||The inside of the villa is beautiful - downstairs is open plan with a round kitchen and square living area. There are two bedrooms - double round bed on first floor with two single beds on second floor - both accessed by the spiral staircase. There is air conditioning on all 3 floors.||The villa is beautifully decorated throughout.||All in all the best villa we have stayed in in our 20 years of holidaying abroad.||The owners, Ella and Gerard, are wonderful, friendly and helpful people. Mirella looks after the cleaning side of the holiday and is lovely.||The views from the second floor bedroom are amazing looking out onto Vasiliki Bay, Kefalonia & Ithaka.||The pool is great for swimming with sun beds and two hammocks for lazing in the sun. There is also a marquee with a table and 4 chairs to have your meals in the shade. We booked this villa for a family wedding, upon arrival we noticed the pool was grimy and dirty, a long with there being 4 wasps nest out in the porch areas. When contacting the owners they mentioned they can't help the dirt in the pool due to the Sahara Dessert sand, and they could lut some chemicals in to see if it cleans it. You can see from my pictures where they attempted to clean it before our arrival I presume, and only got so far and then gave up or couldn't reach. So as they we're not willing to help any further once the removed the wasps nests, in terms of the cleanliness of the pool. It gave us no option but to book another villa. This villa had no "Sahara Sand" or grime in the pool as it was kept clean with chemicals etc. So it can be the sand, just pure laziness. When contacting the owners for any sort of refund for the inconvenience, they said we was trying to blackmail them... how unprofessional. Lefkas is a great island to visit just not this villa, as the advertised pictures and what you get are completely different. Also make sure you hire an SUV if you wish to go there, as the drive is horrendous and will damage your vehicle, with the roads being so bad there is no taxi service that will go...
