Situated in the heart of Myrina Hotel Diamantidis offers excellent accommodation without the high price tag. The beds are comfortable with balconies and ours overlooked the famous castle which was stunning when lit at night offering a fantastic take home memory. Breakfast is tasty and plentiful and the waitresses prepare Greek Coffee to your preferred receipe. We discovered the pool and outdoor entertainment area with huge indoor bar and seating just before our departure but it was a good surprise as we will be back with our children who love to stay at hotels equipped with pools and bars. This would make an excellent reception area for a wedding or other function if you are considering places with facilities to cater for 100 guests or so. Overall we rate the hotel highly with friendly staff and a good location away from the noise of the town centre but a short 5 minute walk to the shops and restaurants, particularly those restaurants in the Romeiko waterfront that are renown for excellent seafood dishes from locally source...
Read moreI did a review soon after I got back from my holiday there in the Autumn of 2023, but it disappeared. I want to repeat that Diamantidis is an ideal place to book into for your first visit to Limnos. Mine was looking out towards the castle. The hotel is set back a bit from the 'main' road (all things being relative on this sleepy Northern Aegean island) so is extra quiet. But some rooms will not have an exciting view. In which case, go out, stroll across town, sample the shops and restaurants, drop down a gear or two and enjoy this beguiling, largely unspoilt place. Limnos and its hotel Diamantidis are so good, I wish I could have it...
Read moreVery friendly staff (thank you Leonidas, Anthi, Roula and Anastasia!). Good location close to city center. There is unfortunately no pool bar but you can order drinks from the reception and they will bring it down to the pool. Lovely beds and pillows, quiet hotel so we slept well all week. Breakfast was OK. Although there is an elevator from ground level it was not open all day but the staff supported my husband with this when needed (he has a back problem). Otherwise you need to walk up 23 steps to the main entrance/reception. However, at arrival and departure the elevator was open which was great, not having to carry the luggage...
