This is a beautiful property high on the hill overlooking the magnificent waters surrounding Lipsi. By appearance it seems perfect but for the prices charged there are many flaws. I was advised by their team it is only a 3 star facility but advertises and charges as a 5star. Kitchens need renovation, wi-fi is unacceptable and breakfasts consisting of yoghurt, a single boiled egg, a bread roll and a croissant are not comparable with other 5 star facilities on any Greek island. Don't look for a TV to entertain the kids as its only an ornament. The shower wasn't working and when we mentioned it to the team they told us we obviously had no idea how to use it. Sheets are placed on bed damp and require air conditioning to dry them. The team on hand this year were happy to try and provide the service of a 5 star but it seems the management had a...
Read moreLipsi Blue Hotel describes itself as a ‘boutique’ offering. And the rooms are very well appointed with amazing views over the azure Aegean. On paper it had everything. But the word ‘boutique’ suggests a little more. Maybe we stayed there before they were actually ready for the tourist season because the restaurant was closed; the e-bikes promoted were out of action; and the rather unimaginative and formulaic delivery of breakfast was certainly not ‘boutique’. There was a scooter parked in the main breakfast eating area and sun beds stacked up in the corner. But if the full offering is not available don’t accept bookings! Staff tried their best and were friendly enough and I hope that when the full season gets into full swing everything will be perfect. But in all honestly, for us it was a bit of a...
Read moreThe location is stunning with unobstructed views in all directions. Very warm welcome and the staff, George, Anna and Stavros were always around if we needed something. Stavros can make a perfect Aperol Spritz - the first we had made properly in Greece. The rooms have clearly been updated since some of the earlier reviews with super comfy beds/pillows. Still some improvements to be made to bathrooms but nothing that distracted from our stay. Breakfast was lovely, but we were there 5 days some variety would have been appreciated. It didn’t serve dinner when we were there, but it’s less than 10 mins easy walk to the village tavernas. It has a very ‘adult’ feel and not really somewhere that children would enjoy. I am sure we...
