Vergina Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Alexandroupoli

We booked this hotel chiefly on account of it's proximity to the ferry terminal for Samothraki. Our room was basic but clean and quiet. The bathroom was quite compact but for one night's stay proved perfectly adequate. There was a comfortable bed, air-con, TV but no fridge (I think there was a communal fridge in the outside lounge area). We found the staff to be welcoming and very helpful particularly when checking whether our ferry would depart the next morning. The hotel is about 15mins by taxi from the airport and is only a short 5mins walk to the ferry quay and the Samothraki...

Cheap,decent hotel. It's centrally located and convenient for all means of transport. Literally across train station, 10' to bus station and to the ferry terminal. Also the local bus line that links to the airport is one block away. However, please don't expect too many things. Yes, as others say bathrooms are a bit weird, but people, be reasonable. It's clean, it has a nice bed, mini-fridge and air conditioning. Staff is professional and welcoming. It would be unfair to give it a perfect score but for what it offers versus its pricetag...

The hotel is located in an excellent location, near the port and the ferry service to Samothrace, near the business center of Alexandropouli and the sea front with its multitude of taverns. The hotel has its parking places in front of the entrance. It takes about ten or fifteen minutes to reach the airport, and few more minutes to give back a rented car, just before a flight. The room is clean and comfortable and the staff is helpful and gives personal attention...
