We stay in Hotel Askas 4 nights in September, we also have breakfast which is traditional greek with eggs (scrambled with ham, cooked, as you wish, honey, natural orange juice, jam, butter, tea, coffee, enough to start a perfect day). We also have dinner after first nights, when we ate in restaurant To Limani, where we were very dissapointed. Dinner was also fine very traditional, reasonable prices, we pay approximatelly 20 Euros with very good local wine for 2 person. Marios also play buzuki guitar one night with traditional greek songs and some locals. Rooms are very clean, not far from beach, about 5 minutes. We have room in 1st floor with balcony, seaview. Marios wife Ioanna also drive us to Laghkada when we start our hike to Agios Georgios and Marios arrange us the transfer from / to port in Katapola, all free of charge. They also advise us where and when to start hike to Monastery near Chora, very picturesque hike, must do when you are on Amorgos. Anyway I recommend Askas hotel to anybody. Thanks again to Ioanna and Marios and their staff for...
Read moreWonderful! The hotel is within a 10-15 minute walk to the harbor. The entrance to the hotel is quite pleasant, and the presence of books is a significant plus. From the moment we made the reservation, the staff was in constant communication with us regarding our potential needs. Dimitra welcomed us early in the morning when we arrived and handed us our room. The room was spacious, airy, and clean. Having a mosquito net on the balcony was a great advantage. We rented a car through their family business, Evdokia, and received detailed and practical information about getting to the harbor, traffic, and more. (Thanks again, Fani :) ) The restaurant below the hotel looked very inviting. Fani and Marios extended an invitation to their table, and we thoroughly enjoyed their wonderful company. I would like to express my gratitude once again. They didn't let us experience a single moment of dissatisfaction or discomfort. You can find much more luxurious hotels, but I am confident that you won't enjoy your stay as much as...
Read moreWe had a lovely 3-night stay here. The room was spacious (we even had an extra bed), clean, and comfortable with a cute little terrace. There was a mini fridge and air conditioning in the room and the bathroom was recently remodeled. ||||Additionally, the pension has a lovely third-floor terrace which is open to guests and an onsite restaurant where we had dinner one night and ate breakfast every morning. For 7 euros, you can have their breakfast which includes coffee with cream, bread, jam, honey, an egg (fried or boiled), and a bowl of greek yogurt. You can also order breakfast a la carte if you don't have a big appetite. ||||Another plus - the pension is well located. It is a 5-minute walk to the beach and a 10-minute walk to the town of Aegiali.||||What really makes this pension stand out is Mario and his wonderful family. They were very accommodating and kind to us. They gave us great advice on places to visit, and even helped us arrange the car rental and transportation...
