Filio Guesthouse — Hotel in Municipality of Andros

We didnt stay at the guest-house but used their sunbeds & umbrella at daily cost of €25:00 for the 8 days that we were there. (Bit steep I know but position was great and the beds were very comfortable) |We would pay at the end of the day along with any additional drinks, water & snacks but always found the woman in charge a bit off and slightly rude.|On the final day we found a sun-bed put our towels down and decided to go to to another restaurant for a quick snack before returning to our beds same as we did all week. (We decided not to eat at her place as breakfast wasnt as good, was expensive and flies everywhere.)|At this point this same woman came rushing up along the beach and told us that she would lose money if we didn`t eat with her (We reminded her that our daily spend was around 65 euros but she so enraged and spoke to us in such a manner that we decided to leave and walk some 20 metres to the next set of hire beds. You cannot speak to customers like that.|It is a tragedy for this place as the youngsters working the beach bringing drinks, snacks to her customers were fantastic, dynamic and worked tirelessly and very pleasant and chatty. All our nice memories are now eroded because of this one somewhat short-sighted woman. She should never ever be customer facing but better in the kitchen away...

I went to this place for my holidays in August 2017 and when I arrived I saw something totally different than they show in the photos. The rooms were very old and they smelled very bad. I decided to stay and not to leave because I didn't want to ruin my holidays but the second night the took the air-condition controller because they probably didn't want to pay for the electricity cost. So I spent the whole night without air-conditioning and it was very hot during the night 40 degrees C. When I said I will leave, the next morning both owners were very rude and only cared how to take my money. They never asked what was the problem that I wanted to leave. They only asked for my credit card in order to charge me the money for all days even I stayed only 2 nights. I couldn't even discuss with them they only wanted to argue with me and speak in very mean way. I offered them the money for the nights I slept there but they didn't accept it but they were yelling and asking for money I didn't even understand. After I left, they sued me. I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. They only care about how to take their clients money and not for their clients to be satisfied. I'm very sorry facing these situations in Greece. I definitely DO NOT...

I won't talk about the hotel, it doesn't really matter after the “welcome” they gave me. I arrived at 10:30 (this is what happens if you take the 07:30 ferry from Piraeus) Upon arrival they announce to me in a strict way that check-in is at 15:00 (someone who travels knows this) and I reply "it's okay I just want somewhere to wear my swimsuit and leave my bag" and they answered me: you can change in the garden toilet, but keep your bag in your car!..But I don't have a car I answer, why not leave it just in the room I will be staying in?? And they answered like this: WE DON'T HAVE ANYWHERE TO KEEP YOUR BAG AND IT'S YOUR PROBLEM THAT YOU CAME EARLIER.! I read the comments about the lovely couple but I didn't see it anywhere, they probably behave according to their moods not professional at all . Fortunately, balance came from the fantastic beach bar next door (wesurfin) with very nice music and drinks but mostly politeness from the people you give your money, money that you have worked...
