I’ve had the pleasure of dining at Francesco several times in the past, when it was located near the port of Gavrio. Now, nestled within Perrakis, a charming hotel, the restaurant has not only maintained its high standards but elevated the experience with a stunning new location. I know Neapolitan Pizza is super hot right now, and don’t get me wrong, it’s my favorite as well…however! I love the comfort of a well prepared Pan pizza. I mean you gotta love a good ol’ melting cheese bridge between you and warm home made dough. And I will dare say it’s on the healthier side of pan pizzas, it was nice and dry, not oily at all. We had the pelpotti pizza, and a couple of pasta dishes and everything was delicious and very fulfilling. After our adventurous visit to Andros, it was all we could want.

Πήγαμε για τριήμερο του Αγίου Πνεύματος στην Άνδρο για να γεμίσουμε λίγο τις μπαταρίες μας και να πάρουμε ανάσες για το υπόλοιπο καλοκαίρι μέχρι τον Αύγουστο που θα πάρουμε την άδεια μας. Ανάμεσα σε αλλά εστιατόρια επισκεφθηκαμε κι ένα ιταλικό που το βλέπαμε μέρες και το είχαμε βάλει στο μάτι μιας και μας είχε αρέσει το στήσιμό του. Το περιβάλλον πολύ καλό, πεντακάθαρο και απλό, με συνδυασμό από ντόπιες και ιταλικές νότες, τα τραπέζια στολισμένα με τον βασιλικό τους και η σερβιτόρα ευγενέστατη και πρόθυμη να μας εξυπηρετήσει. Παραγγείλαμε σαλάτα ρόκα-παρμεζάνα με κράνμπερι, φυστίκι Αιγίνης και αποξηραμένο σύκο με βινεγκρέτ μπαλσάμικο και μέλι και μία πίτσα προσούτο μοτσαρέλα με ρόκα και ντοματίνια. Όλα υπέροχα!!! Η ποιότητα εξαιρετική και τα υλικά πάνφρεσκα και σε πολύ καλές αναλογίες !!! Η βάση της πίτσας εξαιρετική και το ψήσιμο τέλειο. Πραγματικά θα την ζήλευαν πολλά ιταλικά εστιατόρια της Αθήνας…… Σε κάποια φάση πιάσαμε την κουβέντα με τον Φάνη τον σεφ και ιδιοκτήτη που καθόταν σε κοντινό μας τραπεζάκι. Εξαιρετικός άνθρωπος που ξέρει πολύ καλά την δουλειά του και σέβεται τους πελάτες του. Φάνη, σε ευχαριστούμε πολύ για την εξυπηρέτηση και τις υπέροχες γεύσεις, συνέχισε έτσι!! Το συνιστούμε ανεπιφύλακτα!!
