House of view — Hotel in Municipality of Archane - Asterousia

Often, when you don't go to big hotels in Crete, you will face people working with their heart and soul. Here is the case! You have everything you need at your disposale(hairdryer/washing machine/A.C/Kitchen/different coffe machines...) and if anything should miss you, the owner will do everything to satisfy you. The building looks a bit old from outside, but inside everything looks brand new and very clean.If you are seeking for isolation, beaches and some walks, if you like sleeping with waves ' sound, taking your coffee/tea 25 meters from the see...this is the place!! House with view is the right name, it is like sleeping in a boat. The life in the village is quit slow and you will mainly meet cretan people here in vacations too, from generation to generation. In winter the city becomes a small village. So it is a touristic village for cretan people and you will just be an unvited guest. Cozy apartment with stunning view. The winds were strong, so the ocean had a stunning, wild show for us, even if we werent able to access the local beaches. Mama Maria treated us like family from the moment we met. As we were here in the off season and everything was closed, she offered to cook us Dinner, even though it was already pretty late (for german standards at least) when we arrived. She made us the most delicious seafood pasta and a salad. We drove all over crete, everyday another place, but I havent eaten or slept anywhere as good, as I did here. Sometimes life is wonderful when other people are friendly & kind to you. We had such experience with “House with View”. The owner Maria is an exceptional person. We could ask her anything anytime, she invited us to her place to have dinner together, she made sweets for us and gave us a round trip around the area. She organized a birthday party for one of my daughter by herself with her neighbor friends to surprise us. She accepted me as her sister and treated my daughters as her daughters. How wonderful! The beauty of the area from her balcony is breathtaking. The people of all Tavern were very friendly & nice. We recommend this place (Tris Ekklisies) for 100% for other travelers.
