Heniochos Villas — Hotel in Municipality of Chania

Stayed for two weeks and loved every minute at this immaculate villa owned by the great host, Haris. The location is in the quiet village of Daratsos and just a few minutes walk from the village square which offers a mini supermarket , where locals gather, and the 'Nikos Tavern' providing traditional Greek food.( We went on our first night and tried to revisit but unfortunately due to an injury of the chef it was temporarily closed at the end of August 23). From the square you can jump on the bus to Chania at the cost of 1.50 euro which takes around half an hour and provides a more vibrant nightlife and shopping experience. Haris, the villa owner also owns and runs a hugely popular restaurant within the Old Town and we were generously looked after by him when wevisited there on two occasions. Taxis back from Chania to the villa cost around 13 euros. We mixed up visits to Chania with visits to other taverna restaurants in the surrounding area of Daratsos with Taverna Koulouridis proving to be a favourite with us being just fifteen minutes walk away. The villa itself is kept immaculate with cleaning visits every three days and ( as my wife wanted me to specifically point out) has great smelling bedsheets and towels. The pool is big enough to a have a decent swim and there is a choice of sun loungers and seating areas to sit in sun or shade according to your preference. We stayed for a week at Heniochos Villas in Villa Eirini and absolutely loved it. The house is very stylish, all materials in the house and interior design are very nice and trendy. The floorplan is open with big rooms and huge windows. Around the villa is a carefully designed garden with amazing plants and of course an amazing terraze with plenty of sunbeds, sofas, huge dining table and a perfect pool. There is also a big terrace upstairs to one bedroom with a nice sea view. We spent our week there in October and decided to use the pool heating, which was nice.

Harris, the owner was amazing and so friendly. We arrived very late in the evening and he made sure we did not have to go to bed hungry as he brought us food for our surprise.

We enjoyed a dinner Harris offered at his restaurant Throumbi and it was so nice and the food was so good that after trying for other restaurants for the week we wanted to have dinner at Throumbi again. Harris and his team also noted our son's birthday during the first dinner which was so kind.

We had rented a car for our stay and from the villa it was just a few minutes to the supermarkets, 10-15 min to Agia Marina restaurants and beaches, 15-20 min to Chania old town and half an hour to the airport. The location was perfect for us.

A Gem in Crete! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

From the moment we arrived, our experience at this beautiful rental in Crete was nothing short of spectacular. Harris, the host was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making us feel right at home from the outset with a delightful charcuterie board and a traditional Uzo shot—a perfect start to our vacation!

The house itself boasts a stunning saltwater private pool, nestled within a beautifully manicured garden that offers both privacy and tranquility. It’s an ideal spot for relaxation and soaking up the sun. The inclusion of private parking with automated gate was also incredibly convenient.

Inside, the 3 spacious bathroom was a highlight, with dual sinks and plush robes and slippers that added a touch of luxury to our stay. Moreover, the host's thoughtfulness shone through with the well-stocked fridge full of essentials, which was greatly appreciated.

We also had the pleasure of dining at Harris’s restaurant (Throumbi) in the pedestrian’s downtown of Chania—what a fantastic experience! The food was exceptional, and the atmosphere was lively and inviting.
