Fünfzehn Minuten vom Chania Airport entfernt, erreichst du die Katakis Villas recht zügig. Alles ist bestens vorbereitet, der Schlüssel steckt außen und alles ist so wie es sein soll. Von Anfang an fühlst du dich wohl und es fehlt an nichts.
Wenig später, ein herzliches WiIlkommensgeschenk, kretische Mandeln in Zartbitterschokolade, köstlich. Danke! Dein Vermieter hält auch online Kontakt zu dir, er erkundigt sich mehrmals, ob denn auch wirklich alles zu deiner Zufriedenheit ist. Ja dem ist so. Auf eine zusätzliche Reinigung der Villa und Handtuchwechsel zur Wochenmitte verzichte ich aus Umweltschutzgründen gerne. Ich fühle mich von Anfang an wie zuhause.

Als Aviation Freak ist das auch ein toller Ort für Planespotter. Von den gelegentlich abfliegenden Militärjets sollte man sich nicht stören lassen. Ansonsten ist es ruhig, herrliche Sonnenaufgänge, eine ungestörte Nutzung des Pools und des Gartens ist garantiert.
Die Poolnutzungsordnung legt fest, dass im Pool Badekleidung zu tragen ist… warum auch immer, das Gelände ist nicht einsehbar.
Wie dem auch sei, die Gastgeber – und ja es sind keine Vermieter sondern Gastgeber, sorgen mit Köstlichkeiten und anderen kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten, dass der Aufenthalt zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis wird.
Die Katakis Villas sind ein idealer Ort um die Insel, vor allem den Westbereich zu erkunden und Kreta zu erkunden. Der Strand von Elafonisi (und die Anfahrt lohnt sich wirklich) ist via Kissamos in 90 Minuten erreichbar. Es ist genügend Platz für alle vorhanden.
