We had a wonderful stay here June 2022 (4 adults, one 18 month old baby). Highlights are the incredible view, the well equipped kitchen and the convenient location for Chania town, supermarkets, the beach and the airport. Felt like we were taking a bit of a risk booking this as it didn’t have any recent reviews but was the only Airbnb in the area we wanted to stay that had 4 bedrooms, two bathrooms and, crucially as we have a toddler, a bath. We were so so pleasantly surprised. The family were really friendly and hospitable and were eager to help and very responsive to all our messages before and during our stay. The villa is cleaned by two ladies for two hours every few days. There is also pool maintenance and a gardener. The kitchen was stocked with so much food and drink and Barbara even made us a welcome dish for the evening we arrived. Such a lovely touch. The house generally has everything in it you could need, especially if you have a baby/toddler, see below. There is aircon in the open plan living area and all the bedrooms. Things I would have liked to know before I booked that would have put my mind at ease: The pool is heated. Though on a main road, there is no road noise to be heard inside the house and nothing significant down at the pool and pool veranda. You can hear it on the platform balcony area but we never sat there as the view from the pool veranda was so much nicer and more romantic for dinner anyway (plus it’s next to the amazing BBQ and handy pool-side fridge). Though close to the airport it is not under a commercial flight path. The only planes we heard going over were military from the nearby base and, when we saw them, they were actually a real treat (we saw a fighter practicing loop-de-loops - pretty cool). There were maybe 4 or 5 a day and none at night. The whole villa is over one floor. If you’re travelling with a baby they have everything. An adjustable high chair (a bit like a Chicco Magic Relax, though I don’t know if it fully reclines), an adjustable toddler crib, a video baby monitor, indoor, outdoor and beach toys, ikea bowls and cups, a silicone bib, loads of spare crib bedding, baby towels, a slide and sling-swing, baby gate at the edge of the platform balcony area before the steps, Netflix and add-free YouTube for whatever your child likes to watch - just everything! Only thing they didn’t have but we brought with us because we checked before we came, was a paddling pool. A must for little ones, as the pool is quite deep even at the shallow end (I’m 5ft 4 and the shallow water reached the top of my rib cage). Only thing I would mention is that some of the tiles have started lifting around the pool. Suspect this is fairly recent and will soon be addressed as the family take so much care of the place. We had to be a bit mindful when walking around the pool especially in the dark. Overall, would absolutely recommend and happily go back. It was perfect for us.

Just returned from this outstanding Airbnb villa. We were a family of 4 with an 18 month old toddler. We were most concerned about getting things right for the baby when choosing this villa and we were not disappointed. The owner family had gone into so much detail in providing everything you might need for a wonderful stay. They were on hand whenever you needed anything. We were so surprised to find a cooked meal waiting for us on late arrival - quite unbelievable. Barbara is such a lovely, caring lady, as are all the family. I think that my daughter and son-in-law, who booked the place, will leave their own review but I wanted to say something here myself too. We had a fantastic stay in this beautifully furnished home and it is, after all, a private home so I hope that any future visitors will know how to respect it as such. I felt quite privileged to stay in it.

We had an incredible stay at Barbara's villa, and our entire group of seven guys in our mid-20s couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, everything worked seamlessly, and we were warmly welcomed by Barbara, Zografia and Rebeka. It was such a delightful surprise to have food waiting for us upon our arrival, setting the tone for a fantastic stay.

The villa's pool area and terrace were absolutely fantastic, offering us plenty of space to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We were particularly impressed with the newly renovated kitchen, which was both modern and highly functional. Even the chef we hired found it incredibly convenient to work in.

The air conditioning kept the villa perfectly comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were excellent. For those renting a car, the parking area is more than adequate. If you're considering taking a taxi, it's good to know that rides to Chania cost between 15-20€, and to Agia Marina around 40€.

A special shoutout to Rebeka and Rosa for keeping everything spotlessly clean throughout our stay. Their efforts made our visit even more enjoyable.

We all had high praise for this villa and would highly recommend it to families and younger groups alike. It's a fantastic place to create...
