The rooms of the "Lux"-part of the hotel are modern (renovated in 2018), other than on the most of the pictures here, and pretty good equipped, but here and there are small negative points. which are blurring the overall impression: once the shower drain is a bit congested, the water is gathering under the washbowl and on the floor of the bath for hours, since the shower border under the glass is partially leaky. The shower is half-open, so the water splashes land on the bath floor, making it wet near the shower. the waste bin and the shower handle are rusted, as mentioned by another commentators the towel holder is some reason mounted directly over the toiler paper, making it wet the liquid soap is dribbling to the left side of the wash bowl board when someone is smoking in the neighbours' room, the smoke got into our room, since both rooms have a common chimney one has to wait a couple of minutes, until the water gets hot. Its temperature can vary while taking the shower, depending on the shower usage intensity in another rooms. the appartment should have been cleaned according to the owner, but there were still some dirt and dust, but also hairs on the bed linen and in the shower. the prices in the restaurant "Captain" (belonging to the hotel, though the waiters claim the opposite) are pretty high for cretan conditions, still being on the same level of other restaurants in the neighbourhood. Being a guest, one gets 10% off (which is however sometimes 9% or 8%), . there is no TV in the room. the rooms are all with a side view to the sea.
The hotel owner is mostly on site and helps, if one has questions or problems. There is a parking area in front of the reastaurant and behind the hotel there is medium and one big parking place,...

Peaceful location yet near to all the amenities that you need. All of the beaches nearby have bars/refreshments/sunbeds etc. Car parking at rear of apartments. We have just stayed 3 nights here at the beginning of June. Not very busy at all. Very sunny and lovely calm sea. There is a tourist train that passes by the sea front every 2 hours that goes all the way to the aquapark and crete aquarium if you do not have transport. Nearby is the old traditional village of analipsi which has some fabulous traditional restaurants. Also nearby (short drive) is the town of Chersonisoss which has some great shops and...
