skoutari Kavoulakos studios — Hotel in Municipality of East Mani

My sister and I stayed in Studio 1 for 8 nights in early September and absolutely loved being there. This was our 2nd visit , we were there last year, and we very much hope to stay again. The studio is lovely - quiet, a good size, clean, comfortable beds with a good shower and everything you need in the kitchen. The large balcony with its sea view is great as is the beautiful garden with it's peaceful seating areas - a true oasis and we so enjoyed making use of the garden. The super beach is just at the bottom of the garden - we loved swimming and trying out the tavernas there. Highly recommend the one at the furthest end of the beach. The pizza and friendliness at Rouga Drosia in the village was very good and we just loved frequently visiting Thalis' coffee shop and enjoying their frappes and croissants! Staying at Kavoulakos Studios makes a great base to explore the wonderful Mani as well as having a very relaxing time. We love it and will return! Host Anastasia looks after guests well and communicates quickly to queries. She was enormously helpful in finding a taxi firm willing to bring us from our previous hotel. Simply furnished, spotlessly clean studio apartment with big covered balcony. Some sea view from raised ground floor, first floor apartments have even more of a sea view. Set in beautiful gardens (grass, trees, flowering shrubs, planted borders along winding paths leading to a variety of shaded seating areas) with a hedge at bottom to screen the property from the superb sandy beach 30 yards away. Kitchen is fairly well equipped including a tall fridge freezer - a bonus after going to properties where the fridge is small and only has a little ice box! Nearest shop is a mini-market up the hill in Skoutari village. Great taverna - Kalamakia - on beach, less than 5 minutes walk...

We had an amazing 5 days here in early Septemer, the windy little road feeds you into ample parking. the check in is lovely laid back and un fussy. and after a quic unpack you can ve on the beach in a moment it is literally a few steps away through a beautiful garden. The apartment was lovely plenty of room all you could wish for and to lay in bed and listen to the waves on the beach is just superb. The beach is a gorgeous story book beach beautiful warm sea in a lovely safe feeling bay. There is a fab taverna with lovely food and a high level of service you probably wouldnt expect. It is a true gem of a location with mantis and amazing butterflies, gheckos and even a chorus of Jackals in the hills. Sue the resident dog was such a delight very polite and charming.
