This Naftilos Hotel is very well designed : all rooms'windows & balconies are in sight to the sea with a magnificent sea view. The restaurant (open almost all day) and the bar are welcoming the guests on a nicely shadowed large terrace with sight to the sea and the surrounding trees and olive trees. In the center a very nice garden space with palm trees , rosebush, prickly pear cactus , build in a kind of hemicycle surrounding the swimming people and the sunbeds space. Nice open air bar with umbrellas, nice seats and seaview hold by a discreet and nice lady who is providing the swimming towels. The break fast is full of options also Ă  la greek and open from 7:30 to 10:00 and is providing also nice authentic greek sweet pastries with few sugar and almost no fat. The persons cleaning the rooms and serving the meals in the restaurant are sincerely dedicated and heartfullly at our service . Job well done ! Most of the meals are well prepared and authentic " Samos family food" like Souvlaki, Mussaka, Giuvetsi , Greek salads and the wonderful Naftilos salad. Great Samos local wines among them the legendary Vakakis domain with his wonderful "Theorem " dry white wine with the taste of Samos Muscat... among others "Pythagorean" wine names... . The Naftilos is close to some nice walks to the Samos Marina (and bar !) from where you can walk along the seacoast to the beautiful Pythagoreion town (Mathemacian Pythagoras lived there !). There, you will find antique ruins and the Heraion temple area , one of the most ancient and important sacred site of Greece 2500 years ago, the Temple of Hera being the first Greek "big" stone temple ever build. Also of note the Eupalinos Water Tunel which provided fresh water the ancien Samos Town and its 60.000 inhabitants 25 centuries ago. On the northern side, very close to the Naftilos area , there is a nice walk in the to two almost empty beaches with few sunbathers , one being close to a white Chapel and surrounded by shadowing Tamari trees. Great to stay in the seawater and to swim without currents, rocks and "firm ground" around 1,50m - 1,60m underwater and no big waves. A very peaceful, warm and natural beach "free of charges".... and few people

Super friendly staff that speaks english very well, and are very helpful! The view from the rooms are amazing, and the surroundings are nice and quiet. The air condition in the room works great too. Short walk to a very nice beach with a great beach bar. It’s an easy walk if you want to go downtown (2 km), or you can take a cab for 6€. Pythagoreio is filled with good restaurants/ice cream shops and a lot of different stores where you can buy everything you need. I would definitely come again⭐

I would absolutely recommend this hotel! Super friendly staff that will help you with car rental, taxi or anything else in local language. Rooms are always clean and the restaurant/breakfast was good and had nice and funny servers. It was always quiet. Would come here again đŸ‘đŸ»

Near Pythagoreio, this hotel offers wonderful swimming pool area with great views of the sea.|Mostly occupied by non Greek tourists, usually groups from Northern Europe.|Many flights of steps doesn’t make going to the rooms with the suitcases easy |Definitely a problem for people with disabilities |Chef prepares gorgeous Greek cuisine dishes for lunch and dinner daily-a big plus if you stay in|The rooms are big and comfortable and towels are changed daily. Bathroom is of decent size with an opening window.|Internet is a big problem as WiFi is very unreliable |There is a wardrobe and a safe and a fridge in the room-don’t forget to buy water, you cannot drink from the tap.|You get beach towels every day|The hotel needs a relative renovation |Quality of towels is very poor, some so hard you scratch yourself, bathroom rags a disgrace, bedding is mediocre and pillows need changing.|Housekeeping is not bad , though a bit of bleach in the sink would easily take away the black surrounding of the drain|Annoying for a holiday accommodation was the fact that there is nowhere to hang swimming costumes to dry |Definitely not a boutique hotel |Nothing is truly problematic though, except from breakfast which is really bad!|Sometime half the way through our stay we stopped going for breakfast, not worth it!|I am sure they could easily improve it |Mrs Maria in the breakfast hall...
