Kritikies Cretan Houses — Hotel in Municipality of Festos

We were supposed to stay two nights in the apartment on the second floor, but our stay was cut short due to several issues. The air conditioning did not cool despite being set to 16°C. The toilets were clogged and did not drain properly, the oven was dirty, and the shower drained very slowly, leaving us standing in water with a foul odor in the bathroom. There was clearly a lack of maintenance in the bathroom ventilation system (photos attached).

We decided not to stay for the second night. As someone with allergies, it is unacceptable to sleep in such poorly maintained conditions. Despite photographic evidence, the hosts insisted that the cleaning had been done (the photos clearly show otherwise). They need to take responsibility for the quality of what they offer to clients.

We did not want to harm their reputation, as all the other accommodations we stayed in while in Crete were clean. This was the only place where we encountered problems. Very disappointing both in terms of the lodging and the hosts' response. I absolutely do not...

From the moment we arrived we loved this little gem of a place. The small street leading to the BNB are so charming. Rooms were beautifully decorated comfortable clean spacious with everything we needed to make for a comfortable stay. The owner was very helpful and gave us some great tips. Located in the middle-south of Crete, nearby Matala and one hour from Heraklion, Pitsidia is a village that nobody will take in consideration only from a map.
