Raftis wine-restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Festos

The Raftis is the Greek dining experience I have always been looking for but have not been able to find yet.

In fact, our experience was so good that it reminded me of what it must have felt like when the old gods were feasting on Mount Olympus.

But let me break it down: the ambience is a well maintained garden/orchard with several lime trees and other plants. There is so much space in between each table that you will have absolute privacy.

The food is peak Greek cuisine. Tzatziki variations, meat, fish, everything can be found here. Flavor explosions took place when we tried the dishes which were all freshly made and cooked to perfection.

The service is outstanding and speaks great English. Our orders were taken care of with diligence and speed.

All in all, the Raftis is a real gem in southern Crete. We will come back before our holiday ends and I can't wait for the next round of dishes...

The brand-new menu at Raftis Restaurant in Pitsidia is this year's absolute "talk of the town" in our area. With the meticulous care of the new manager and the creativity and freshness brought by the new chef, Raftis has succeeded in delighting even the most discerning palates.

Over the years, Raftis Restaurant has enchanted us with its flavors, but this year, the menu is truly for connoisseurs! Dishes such as beetroot tartare, burrata with cherry tomatoes, chicken in orange sauce, and velvety cod soup will make you want to visit again and again.

I must also mention the extensive wine selection that accompanies the new menu, carefully chosen based on the knowledge and experience of a sommelier, as well as the brand-new...

THe meal was hit an miss. I made good choices but my wifes were not good. I had Tuna shasimii and Lentil and Cashew curry. I would recomended both. My wifes greek salad three ways was very dissapointing there was a soup (which was OK) but the bread and tomatos was soggy and the actual salad was swimming in oil/water. Her crispy sea bass was not crispy at all. We did mention our issues and the owner/chef came out an apoligiesed for the mistakes and said they were not right. He did not charge for them.
