We had a wonderful week here in September. It is in a fantastic location if you want to just chill on the beach or by the pool and then go for a nice meal in the evening time. It is situated in an agricultural valley with olive trees everywhere and then lots of polytunnels for growing tomatoes etc which might not be the prettiest sight but you get used to it and the beaches and local restaurants more than make up for it.||The pool is set in a sunken garden planted with lots of beautiful flowering shrubs which give shelter if it is windy. The pool itself is pristinely clean, the cleanest pool I have ever been in and has a lovely shallow section for small children. There are plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas.||Our room had a large balcony with a fabulous view and it was cleaned every single day. The air conditioning and wifi worked perfectly.||While we had a car, for us the best thing was you could walk to 4 different restaurants at night the farthest one, the Panorama Taverna was about a 2km walk and had a fantastic view of the sunset. Alikia was a slightly shorter walk in the opposite direction. We ate at Captain Nikolas on the beach the closest to the hotel and also at Taverna Vassilis where you can eat in their beautiful garden with a view of the sea. All had wonderful traditional Cretan dishes to choose from and fresh seafood and salads.||There is a tiny little pink beach a short walk from the hotel and we really loved snorkeling there and then having a toasted sandwich from the little kiosk with a fresh orange juice. There are sun loungers to rent there and the water is crystal clear and very shallow so perfect for small children.||If we weren't at the tiny beach we spent our days at the Baby beach near the orange blue cafe which was recommended to us by Eleftheria. It is a fabulous beach and there are two lovely tavernas there to have lunch, Golden Sunset and Alea right down on the beach.||We had great intentions to drive to Balos beach and Elafonissi but really the local beaches are so nice and we were having such a relaxing time there we decided it was not worth the hassle so we will have to return to do that!||Thanks Eleftheria and your family for sharing your piece of paradise with us, we...
Read moreOur stay in Petritos hotel was just perfect and awesome and I'll try to explain why.|The first point is that people there are very kind and welcoming. Elie (sorry if I don't write correctly your name) is a great host, always smiling, ready to help us. If you ask her, she will tell you the best places to visit, and will be happy to give you good advice.|The place is just perfect. The hotel is very quiet, but very near the awesome beach of Falassarna. From there, you can also easily go to Balos, or Elafonisi, which are according to us the most beautiful beaches of Creta.|My advice : Taste the breakfast there : it is delicious, and we are still missing it ! Elie prepared us every day the food that we love !|It was the place we liked most in Creta, and if we come back one day, we will choose this hotel again and stay longer. |Don't hesitate, I can guarantee you won't be disappointed, go to...
Read moreWe stayed at the hotel in June and it was perfect! The host was so nice and always available for any questions, details or for nice conversation. She was always smiling and she made us feel so welcome there. We had a very nice surprise because the room we booked had just been renovated. Practically it was brand new, we were the first couple to use it and we felt special. Everything in the hotel and in the room smelled very nice, the room was thoroughly cleaned every day. The pool and the landscaping surrounding it are perfect. Also, the hotel is within walking distance (5 minutes) from a small beach, perfect if you need to just relax (there were no waves even when at open sea there...
