Lafo Rooms — Hotel in Municipality of Kissamos

The location of the accommodation is great, just a short walk from the famous Elafonisi beach. There is private parking available, and the room comes with slippers, basic amenities, a kettle, coffee, and some sweets for breakfast. A minibar/fridge is also provided.

Unfortunately, despite its great potential, the property is not properly maintained. The shower cabin is full of mold and dirt (see attached photos). The bed cover on top of the sheet was stained and disgusting, and really needs to be thoroughly washed and disinfected.

The room has no soundproofing at all — we could hear everything from the neighbors, even their snoring.

The window screen is broken, and the window itself is far too small for a room of this size. The window is very dirty and full of dust, same for the one in bathroom. The air conditioning unit has some silent mode for use at night, but it still too noisy, and the fridge makes a very loud noise when it starts up. The exit sign is way too bright and cannot be turned off.

We slept with the window open first night, as the room was small and there wasn’t enough air, aso the AC is not great. All night long there was noise from outside — ATV or motorbike races, plus cats fighting. Staying here was a nightmare. We tried sleeping with AC on second night but the AC stopped during the night and it was also noisy as said above. Mirror in the bathroom was not cleaned at all , shower glass is dirty and we didn't receive fresh towels. Overall, we won’t be coming back — this was our first and last time here. The place really needs much better cleaning and maintenance.

My advice would be to invest a bit more and make those windows larger, for natural light. Such a sunny place and it's a shame that you can't have any in the room, in the middle of the day. Wash everything from the bed, it's...

Location, location, location. This hotel is right at Elafonisi Beach, still quiet. Of course the surrounding is very touristic.

First room we stayed in felt clumsy since there was only one little window. Air couldn't really circulate from bathroom so the air was musty. Second room was larger an much better. Beds are good!

Hosts are nice. Rooms are quite loud to the rumors neighbors make. Small terraces are fine for a sundowner. The plot of the hotel facilities is squeezed between two large parking lots. However, you don't see them.

You don't really have a view. But that'd be asked to much for the price.

Overall decent location at fair price if your goal is to spend a comfortable stay at...

Top location for access to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world (or at least in Europe). New building, extremely clean, really(!!), well working air conditioning and Wifi, large parking. The size of each accommodation is probably suitable for a maximum of 3 people. In addition to the convenient proximity to Elafonissi beach (15 minutes walk), there is also a very convenient shop nearby where you can eat breakfast (coffee, sandwich, pies, desserts, naturally squeezed juice, ...). Some restaurants are accessible on foot, while some (better ones) are about 4 or 5 minutes...
