We arrived at Irina Beach in the early hours, check in was easy and we just wanted to get to our room as we were so tired. |The rooms are lovely, everything seems brand new. I loved that our teenage daughter kind of had her own space away from our room and I think she appreciated it too. The bathroom was lovely however I will say the shower was a little weak, I think some of the nozzles need replacing. |The balcony was very spacious, however we overlooked a new hotel being built although this is not the hotels fault, I think work must have been delayed until after the season so no disruption for us. We spent a few nights on the balcony enjoying drinks.|Breakfast was fine. Toast, eggs, omelette, bacon, sausages, mushrooms. |Cheese, meats and croissants and pastries. |We only ate once in the evening at the hotel and I have to say it was the best Moussaka I've ever had! Compliments to the chef! One evening whilst out in Tigaki I decided to get Moussaka again and it was nowhere near as good as Irina Beach Moussaka.|The bus stop is just outside the hotel gates and will take you into Tigagki and Kos Town for just 2 euros 30|We wanted to go to Zia one evening and I had been advised by another guest that I should book a restaurant as it gets very busy. After a quick google search I was overwhelm by choice and wasn't sure if to call or book online, I asked the hotel receptionist, Nanna for a recommendation, she told me not to worry that she would call and book a table for us! So extremely helpful. It was all sorted within 5 minutes. So kind. Zia is breathtaking!|My daughter made friends with the hotel dog, Kiara. The sweetest girl!|We hired a car for a couple of days which I would advise if you are wanting to get out and about as even though the island is small things are very spread out.|We also did the day trip to Bodrum, it was a long tiring day but good fun and lots of shopping done!|The pool was never overcrowded and the beach was down the path next to the pool bar which was lovely to lay and listen to the waves.|We spent a few nights at the bar with the best mixologist in Greece, Panos. You must try one of his cocktails while you are there and the lovely waitress Kelly who can also make a great cocktail! YAMAS!!|Thank you so much for your hospitality and such a...
Read moreWe booked this holiday for July 13, on an eleven day basis.|on arrival ( 10pm) the reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful, taking us through everything and escorting us to our rooms, where air-con and facilities were explained to us.|The rooms were very well designed, decorated and functional.|The balcony area over looked some very beautiful, well maintained gardens.|a shout out here to the gardener, who was a very friendly and cheerful chap!||On the first day, it was a real eye-opener just how clean the hotel was, and how the location was perfect- a very well maintained and sized pool, within a few meters of a beautiful, sandy beach, with sea water, crystal clear and a wonderful temperature.||breakfast and all meals that we took at the hotel were plentiful, tasty and a joy to behold, especially when taking in the sunsets of a evening.||The hotel is far enough away from the main area of Tigaki to be quiet, peaceful and benefitting from a less humid climate, thanks mainly to the open grassland nearby.|The local supermarket is a short walk away ( a chance to walk along the beach to it, dipping ones toes) and is very well stocked with owners who are very friendly.||The main strip of Tavernas and bars is around a 25 minutes walk away, although regular buses are available. |We found so many good eateries, it was hard to decide which ones to go back to!||Perhaps the best part of our holiday, and what really made it so fantastic, were the staff. Read moreWe arrived after 1am and reception staff we there waiting for us and were very helpful. Our room was a triple room with sea view. It was nice and roomy for both my adult daughter and myself. When we opened up the curtains to the spacious balcony in the morning we were taken aback by the gorgeous view of the sea and beach. We could hear the cicadas and the waves. Just perfect. Building work on the new hotel next door luckily had been postponed whilst we were staying so we were so relieved when we didn't move hotel when we were advised about the potential noise by Jet2. It was a lovely peaceful hotel with its own piece of beach of white very fine shingle. We got the best of both worlds as could sit on the loungers on the grassy part of the beach with a big umbrella and if we wanted a dip in the pool we could too as it was so near. There were plenty of loungers available by the pool and people were rarely reserving them which is s bonus. We weren't keen on the breakfast as not to our taste, but we just ended up skipping it and having brunch at the pool bar. They do a lovely cheese and ham omelette. All staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. We had the food off the main dinner menu before we left which was very nice. It was very hot when we went so the 30 minute walk to the main strip was a bit too much but there is a bus stop almost outside of the hotel and we used to get the bus there every night for 2 euros each and get a taxi back. No problem. All staff in the cocktail bars on the strip are lovely too and are more than happy to call you a taxi if you need it. The sunset was gorgeous from the hotel beach. To round it up, irina beach hotel is the best hotel we have stayed in in Greece and ticks nearly all the boxes for us. If we went back to Tingaki, we would...
