This place is amazing! Food is really good, great range at the buffet, always hot and tasty. 3 themed restaurants, 1 is lunch time Mediterranean, which consists of lots of seafood. There is a lovely Greek for evenings, serving gyros and a range of other food, the Italian is pasta and pizza basically, but it's all freshly made and delicious. You book the restaurant online using a QR code the day before you would like to eat, and there is no limit to the number of times you can book. There is a beach bar which serves burgers, toastie and hotdogs. The queue can get a bit long sometimes, but not regularly. Breakfast is excellent with loads of choice, the coffee machine does get queues though, but its not a long wait and the staff help out to reduce them. Drinks are locally produced, but they do a wide range of cocktails, wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks. Pool bar queue can get quite long on the afternoon, but George and Irene do their best to serve everyone and do it with a smile and a lovely chatter. The staff are incredible, they can't do enough for you throughout your stay. Wifi is excellent throughout the hotel, including in your rooms. Onsite shop has a good range, but is very expensive, take inflatables and goggles with you. Waterpark is 5 mins away, and is free as part of the hotel. 7 slides, not very busy and lots of fun. You can hire pedallo and canoes for free on the beach once a day, and all the sunbeds on the beach are free. The beach is lovely, water is crystal clear and very safe, you can feed the fish with bread and they come really close. There is no lifeguard though. The pool is beautiful, my only gripe is that it is salt water which is really harsh on your eyes. There are sunbeds around the pools, which we struggled to get on our first week, people were up at 7am to grab them, but the second week was not an issue. The entertainment staff work so hard to engage everyone with water polo, aerobics, football, volleyball, kids clubs and evening entertainment. There is also external entertainment that comes on a few times a week and it's very good. The Greek night is a lot of fun by the pool bar. There is bingo a couple of times too if that's your thing. There is also a games room for the kids with lots of arcade machines, air hockey etc. The hotel has it's own spa, which I didnt try, but people seem to rate very highly, are there is a fish spa for your feet, €10 for 20 mins (its half that price in Kardamena though if you are heading that way). The hotel itself is a little isolated, its 10 mins on the bus/taxi into kardamena, which has lots of bars and restaurants, with typical tourist shops, its lovely in the evening. Its €1.80 each on the bus or €10 in a taxi. Taxis can be hard to get though, and the bus is infrequent, you can walk it if needed in about 30 mins, but of course it's very warm. The weather was fantastic when we were there end of July beginning of August, we didnt see a single cloud. Temp was around 32 most days, but there was a lovely breeze which made it very bearable. Upon arrival (4am) we had sandwiches, apples and bottled water in the fridge in the room which was nice. We booked a late check out which you have to organise 2 days before you leave. It was €80 from 12 until 5pm. Aside from the salt water pool, just a couple of niggles from me were that the hotel is right under the flight path, which can be very noisy. Its Kos though not Manchester, so there arent lots and lots of flights. I wore earplugs to bed as I'm a light sleeper, and with the hum of the air conditioner (which is very good btw) I didnt have any problems sleeping. Additionally people are allowed to smoke in the lounge area, which has open sides, but does have a roof, perhaps it's just what I'm used to, but I wasnt a fan of that. The only other niggle (which is impossible to prevent) is that there are a lot of honey bees which hang around the bars and bins, they aren't wasps and I wasnt aware of anyone getting stung, they are just a bit of a nuisance.

Im going to be sharing my experience in this review from 2025/september. I will be starting with positives and then follow up with negatives. We really liked the sea, it always had sunbeds available and the sea was pretty nice. Its sandy and there were almost no waves all our stay which is positive for me. Food was very very tasty, we regularly go to all inclusives every summer and chirstmas, its top level taste and variety. As well as drinks, there were plenty of options available. The pool was also good in terms of size but there was only one pool available for common use. I believe there are 2 more but for only specific rooms which you have to pay extra. It would be more interesting if there were few more pools around. I will now share the drawbacks. The room was okay in general, it wasnt anything impressive nor disappointing. Just a average experience. But there is one thing which I never had before in my life, I have been to many countries and hotels but never have I ever been asked to pay to use the safe. Its been few months so I forgot exactly how much they asked but it was something around 60€ if I remember correctly. Which was absurd, they also leave info paper that they wont take any responsibility if something is lost/stolen if left in room. So we had to take all our documents, wallets etc to the beach every time. There is no camera and they take no responsibility and offer safe if you pay. If it was some 1 star hotel in a city maybe it might make sense but for all inclusive, it was cheap and disturbing experience. Also about the snack options, there were some available next to the pool as well as sea but the one in the beach was always overcrowded. Also the lady who was responsible for preparing the food/ice cream was working alone everyday and probably thats why hated her job considering there is endless queue of people. From my perspective it wasn’t enjoyable to wait long time for simple snack or ice cream and in the end see this lady’s attitude. I dont blame the worker there but rather the manager who decided its fit to put single worker for that many people. It nothing big but very easy to fix. Also we had situation which is our travel agency scheduled our flights at early in the morning so we arrived and left at around 2am. So the last day we had to spend all day without room from midday to 2am next day. Its our agency who is responsible for the flight but what I find interesting, I paid attention the day we were leaving, there was few busses coming before we left, so I assume there were maybe few rooms empty which could be provided atleast few more added hours. Since housekeeping cant clean all rooms at once, they could arrange it in a way, we could be given these rooms until housekeeping is done cleaning other rooms as a sign of gesture. Since they dont lose any money or time but they asked astronomical money for 2hours late check up. If I added little bit more money it would be same as what it costed a day to be there. Its not a necessity but could easily make people’s last days better. In general it was decent experience, not one of the bests or worsts. With small improvements they could bring the experience for visitors to higher level.

Cleanliness: Hotel grounds & rooms were extremely well kept. The only downfall was the floors not cleanee properly in the room. Dont leave any food in your room or you will be invaded by hundreds of ants. Hotel: Short transfer from the airport & close to kardamena town. The aeroplanes flying over get a bit annoying once the novelty wears off. Getting taxis from the hotel is a issue. Waiting an hour on a few occasions and they didn't arrive. Would recommend using the local buss located at the end of the driveway. Usual sun lounger grand prix early morning like evey hotel. No fresh water pools, they are salt water. Room: The rooms are really modern, in great condition and spacious, it's probably one of the best rooms we have stayed in (Family room). Upgrade to swim up rooms direct from the hotel as its alot cheaper. Mini fridge in room replenished with bottle water daily. Food & Drink: • Breckfast - Nice selection that actually tasted nice compared to other hotels. • Snacks - beyond a joke, it's always the same food. Burgers, hot dog, toasties from the beach bar & Ham and cheese sandwich from pool bar served EVERY SINGLE day. • Dinner -  The food actually tasted nice but its alway the same stuff. Unfortunately, its cheap cuts of meat & lunch left over reheated. • Desserts -  Good selection of desserts, ice cream, and fruits. • Drinks -  Soft drinks all taste weird unless you plan on drinking pepsi all holiday. Cocktails/ alcohol are really strong as they dont measure anything. Summary: The hotel & grounds are lovely and modern. The rooms are literally amazing, one of the best ive stayed in. The hotel is let down by everything else. The entertainment is absolutely DIABOLICAL day & night, honestly the worst I've experienced to date. All inclusive food is always boring, but this place takes the biscuit. We constantly travelled to kardamena for delicious food & entertainment. Due to the location of the hotel, i would recommend  renting a car if you plan on exploring the island. If your ideal holiday is sitting by the pool all day and sitting in the lobby bar by night, this is for you....Porto Bello Boring.

We arrived in August for an 11night stay four of us in total, two children aged 16 and 12. We had a larger family room which was effectively two rooms with no door inbetween, the double part of the room was huge. We also had two balconies. We stayed in 139 overlooking reception and swim up rooms. Room was cleaned daily and tidied. Room was quiet and we enjoyed sitting in the balcony when we arrived back at night. |If you enjoy watching planes we sat on flight radar seeing where the planes were coming from. They were loud but we enjoyed it, most planes landed before we went sleep and landed once we woke up. Bonus of being so close to the airport was a 15 min coach transfer, stopped at the Aegean and holiday village.|We were also lucky to witness some beautiful weddings at the Royal from the balcony and watched fireworks on 4 nights. ||Beach is beautiful lots of sunbeds. Salt water pool didn’t really bother us, children not so keen.|Genci, Flávio and Armando great staff, Armando attention to detail cherry in the drinks!!||There is a local bus costs 2 euro each way, busy at times but we always got a seat. Took about ten minutes and you get it at the top of the drive . To get in to Kardemena stand on the hotel side. Kardemena is lovely some nice shops , there is one nice gift shop as you get off the bus on the right hand side selling all things shells. We watched the premier league in the Crossorads bar and 1960 bar, 1960 bar also looks out over the harbour. Loads of TV’s.|We are out that night also Skala which again was beautiful food. Portoeye had some nice burgers and toastie. Calypso bar a little further down had some nice cool beers and tasty crisps.|We used to get some soft drinks , crisps from the supermarket near the taxi rank very cheap. We never got a taxi and relied on the bus as we struggled our first trip out.|We hired a car for the day from the hotel , reasonable price and had it 8.30 until 9pm. Visited kos town and Tingaki, also drive to Marmari for the most beautiful sunset.|Water park was great, broke the day up , quite a few rides, lazy river. Pool was chlorine , you buy drinks there or stick some in your bag.|Food was good, all hotels different but no fresh omelettes or juices. Loads of salads on offer which was amazing. Help yourself to beer, tap wine and soft drinks. Coffee served to the table in the mornings. Some queuing in the evening but we had a drink in the outside bar until it cleared. Beach bar does snacks in the evening. Poolside bar open all day and late into the night with music, sat there for a few evenings.|Greek restaurant buffet and lovely food.|Italian food served to you and we purchased a bottle of wine not overpriced , disappointed as spotted the cheesecake on the menu and by time it was time they had all gone at 8pm.||I feel that they could utilise the beach bar into the evening, it would be beautiful to sit down there and have a drink , lots of nice photo opportunities early evening. ||Pod massage very relaxing. We also did a sunrise horse ride by Kardemena horse riding school, separate review but amazing and they picked you up at 5.45 and dropped you back. ||Overall we had a great 11 night holiday, very relaxing and felt like we had been there for ages. Staff friendly....
