Disappointing Experience at Aellia Hotel( Aellia Hotel - Aellia's Hotel Official Site) – Poor Management and Misleading Practices|We recently visited Leros Island, a destination we were genuinely excited about—especially our daughter, who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Sadly, our experience with Aellia Hotel turned what should have been a joyful and relaxing trip into a stressful and frustrating ordeal.|Upon arrival in the morning, the rental car we had booked through the hotel was not waiting for us. After a long delay, the driver finally showed up but did not stop, forcing my husband to chase the car while I managed our luggage and cared for our daughter. The driver then demanded €60 per day, despite the hotel having quoted €50/day.|At the hotel, we were told our room would be ready around 2:30–3:00 PM, so we left our luggage and went out to pass the time, despite being tired from travel. When we returned around 2:00 PM, we were informed that our room was unavailable due to an air conditioning issue. After waiting for hours and offering reasonable alternatives, a staff member eventually admitted the truth: our room had been mistakenly given to another guest who had extended their stay.|We were offered a flat described as “luxurious,” but it was in unacceptable condition—dirty towels on the floor, discolored sheets, unpleasant odors, and unflushed toilets. We declined the offer and asked to be relocated to another hotel, but they were unable to arrange that.|Initially, the hotel refused to offer any compensation. Only after a local friend—who knows the hotel staff and owner—intervened did they agree to refund our hotel stay, car rental, and ferry tickets. The lack of transparency, poor communication, and unwillingness to take responsibility until pressured was deeply disappointing.|Leros Island itself is beautiful and full of kind, welcoming people. It’s unfortunate that our first impression was marred by this experience. I sincerely hope Aellia Hotel takes this feedback seriously and improves its management and customer service practices.|It is very obvious that some small Greek islands like Leros, hotels are extremely overrated and most of them are worst than any small pension in Turkey holiday towns like Bodrum, Cesme, Kusadasi, Fethiye, Alanya, Kas, Kalkan etc.|We never want to visit Leros and similar small islands because of this terrible and totally...
Read moreActually we preferred this hotel because of being brand new. The architecture and the rooms are not that much bad. But the staff at the reservation department are so rude and don’t give any confidence. We checked the price on the internet for the room, it was quite good, and after we called to make a reservation, they told us there is a mistake, and they changed the rate directly. Secondly, they asked for me to make a rent a car reservation and I said ok, they asked for my driving licence for the car rental reservation, Aldo I sent it. We agreed on 45€ per day, but when we arrived to the hotel they said to me they don’t have a car for 45€, they said they can give the car for 80 €. For sure I didn’t accept this, and I rent a car from another place for 30€ per day. The have a minibar list in the room, I asked a sparkling water, and they send me to the market. So they didn’t serve what I asked. And the other day we asked cleaning for the room, but they didn’t clean the room. Also our room was with jakuzi but jakuzi was full of insects inside. So rude staff, non-trustable people. I will never come back. BTW; the breakfast was...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Aellia Hotel, and I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience. The location is fantastic, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly receptionist, who provided exceptional support throughout my stay. The owner of the hotel is incredibly nice and personable, adding a wonderful touch to the atmosphere. The room I stayed in was spacious and beautifully designed, featuring a coffee machine and a smart TV that made my stay even more enjoyable. The bathroom was immaculate and well-stocked with a hairdryer, shampoo, shower gel, and body lotion, making it feel like a true retreat. Given the reasonable pricing, I felt I received great value for my money. I am genuinely happy I chose Aellia Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. I can't...
