Captain Day Restaurant & Cocktail Bar is a complete fiasco, the head waiter in the first place was extremely uninterested, a disrespectful servant with a nose in the clouds. He was a completely disrespectful servant who ruled over the other employees. We came on recommendation for live Greek music and delicious food. We were completely disappointed. I drank my last double ouzo dry without any appetizer. I asked the chef there is no fruit, no appetizer, no saganaki. An outstanding beauty is a restaurant that does not suit the island of Leros. I definitely do not recommend it. All the restaurants on the Alinda coast are superior in quality and respect to the Skippers place with both hearty full seafood and fast and kind employees. The level of restaurants in Leros is probably the highest of all Greek islands - which is great because restaurants compete in innovation and more chefs are brought from main land to add a special touch. Leros restaurants cater mostly to locals so they commit to quality, rather than cheap shortcuts for passing tourists.

Skippers has always been our favorite in Leros and this year it even got better, in a new modern setting (and a new name, ARKA) with very modern cocktails to boot. The new chef comes from Mykonos and is truly an artist at heart both for preparation and presentation.
