Incredible Stay at Happy Cretan Suites, Luxury and Comfort at Its Best!||Wow, what an experience! We stayed at Happy Cretan Suites for 3 nights, and everything exceeded our expectations from start to finish.||The suite itself was amazing. The bed was incredibly comfortable, we slept very well every night. The private pool was definitely the highlight, offering ultimate privacy and a perfect way to relax while enjoying the sun. We spent hours by the pool, with the stunning surroundings making it feel like our own little paradise. The bathroom was equally impressive, modern, and clean, with all the little touches that made it feel so luxurious. The area was good to explore the regions of Agia Pelagia, Bali & Rethymnon. ||Speaking of touches, the amenities were fantastic. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a bottle of sparkling wine in the room, such a thoughtful welcome! The room was also stocked with a Nespresso machine and pods, which we used to enjoy our morning coffee by the pool while soaking in the quiet, peaceful atmosphere. It was the perfect way to start the day!||The breakfast was also a standout, fresh orange juice and a variety of delicious options that were both tasty and high-quality. It’s clear that they focus on providing great food at Happy Cretan Suites. For lunch, we tried the hotel’s food offerings like the gyros, and it didn’t disappoint, great flavors and really well-presented.||The design of the hotel was beautiful. Modern and chic, yet warm and welcoming. The whole place just breathes style and comfort, making it a true pleasure to spend time here.||Lastly, a big shoutout to the amazing staff, so friendly, attentive, and always there to help with any request. Their hospitality really made the experience even better.||We had initially booked 1 night in a standard room and 2 nights in the suite (since it wasn't available for 3 consecutive nights upon booking), but the hotel was kind enough to upgrade us for a 1st night in the suite, a lovely surprise that made our stay even more special and comfortable, since we didn't have to move rooms. Thank you Dimitros! ||All in all, this place is absolute luxury, relaxation, and comfort rolled into one. We can’t recommend Happy Cretan Suites enough to our family and friends and will definitely be back for...
Read moreMy husband and I came here for our honeymoon and WOW couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Customer service is CLEARLY their number one priority and I’m all here for it. I hope this can help you make your decision, and I’ve listed details from our experience:
We were greeted with a drink of our choice the second we arrived at the reception desk which was the best way to start the vacation. Once we got to our room our bed had been decorated with rose petals and there was a bottle of champagne waiting for us on ice… we were in awe right away. We got a room with a private pool overlooking the water and it was breathtaking/worth every penny. You can open all the doors to your room while laying out and it feels like it’s a part of your bedroom. Zero problems with bugs getting in and the pool was cleaned every morning. the food at the restaurant was incredible. They did a greek night where we got to try all of the local food and were given a small bottle of local alcohol to help with digestion at the end while live music played in the background. free breakfast every morning was the best buffet I’ve ever had- they even had bottles of Prosecco at times where people could make their own mimosas, and what I liked the most is that breakfast went until 10am opposed to 8 or 9 like most places. the friendliest service all around, they were ready to help us any way possible. When we needed a taxi into the center they booked it for us, if we had questions about local attractions they were always so helpful. I want to give a special shoutout to Aspa and Georgos who were a joy to be around. there are beaches nearby that are only a 5 min taxi drive (you can also bike to it.) we had a great day at Psaramoura beach where there’s little coves with pretty clear/blue waters, and a small bar right on the beach.
Overall an 11/10 experience. This area can get pretty windy but it’s so hot there that you’re actually thankful for the wind at times (we went beginning of July.) and then the only other thing to mention is that the center of Heraklion is about 20/30 minutes away and taxis are around 30 euros each way, but where you’re located you won’t want to go to the...
Read moreThe good The rooms are clean and feel sleek, the public areas are well maintained and having two pools are great with plenty of loungers and even cabanas to relax.
The poor Given that the coffee at the breakfast is from a freeze dried machine, the espresso machine in the rooms are a good touch. However, the capsules being not from nespresso should be looked at. The espresso shot from the capsules is not great and lack caffeine punch.
The bad Ok the breakfast is really really really poor here and a real letdown. For the hot options they operate a don’t replenish model past a certain time. We eat our breakfasts quite late but are there at 10.30 and both days there were completely emptied hot options which they never replenished… scrambled eggs seem to be a staple though. We have stayed in other hotels were food gets replenished even up to 10.45 (if not later) so this feels like a real let down. They provide you with a small bowl of cut random fresh fruits and one glass of freshly squeezed juice, but that’s it. It would have been good with some fresh options. The breakfast bar will have canned fruits, box juices. Even the bread were super dry, biscuits without sugar, French pastries are well over cooked. Coffee is from a standard freeze dried machine. None of the above making this a 4 star breakfast and a real letdown down. The good with the breakfast is Greek yoghurt at least which is served without limits and options for omelette to be ordered (although overcooked). Really below par overall.
It’s a real shame that they are saving money by providing a really below standard breakfast as they get the...
