My husband booked this room for just one night because we had to fligh the next day in the morning the owner picked us up from the airport to bring us ( me my husband and our baby ( 4 months ) to the „apartment „ wich was a small room in the end . The only thing what was good it was near by the airport . It was really loud many noises from a garage door from the neighbors cars airplanes ….extra plus the Moskitos the whole night we try to catch them to have at least a bit sleep. But what was for me the red flag from all this we make a appointment for the next day at 5:30 to bring us 3 to the airport he picked us up on time was a bit streesed and told he have to pick up another two I thought ok maybe after us because there is just one place left in the car … he stopped the car I saw two girls he came around opens the door from the side where was my daughter in the maxi kosi ( me in the middle ) grab the maxi kosi without asking and tell me take it on your legs without safety of course I told no way this is dangerous he was like oh no it’s just a short way ( highway )i respond I don’t care I want safety !!! i was kind even this was not my problem and told to one of the girls come on my legs to sit to fit all in the car . For me this is a no go you have to manage it before you but other people specially babies in danger as a “professional driver“...

This apartment is perfect for someone with their own transport who wants to overnight near the airport.

It is literally one minute off the highway and you can turn off the highway to reach it coming from either direction

The apartment was spotlessly clean and included a kitchen with jug, microwave, pod espresso and Greek coffee with a pot. The shower was a decent pressure. The wifi was strong and fast

If you don't have your own transport it gets complicated. Taxi drivers at the airport want to charge a flat fare of €35-40 just to go such a short distance. Also the town centre is a good 10 minute walk from the apartment - which didn't bother me, but it might bother others

There is minimal public transport to the town from the airport (one bus to/from the airport via Koropi metro staion every 90 minutes) and the bus stop is a 20 minute walk from the apartment . Having said that the bus is very cheap at just €2 (cash only )

Bottom line: I needed somewhere close to the airport for a scheduled late arrival which was delayed even further. So I got in a taxi and just 10 minutes later I arrived at the apartment .

I can't thank the owner of this apartment enough . With my delayed flight he opened the apartment for me at 2am, so that's 5* right there.

The next morning I walked the 20 minutes and took a bus out, it was easy...

If you need a place to rest your head between flights in or out of Athens International, AVR Airport Suites makes it easy.
