Baba Houlakia & Café — Hotel in Municipality of Mykonos

We were searching for a place which is not so far from Mykonis but is in a more calm location. We found.

This place was absolutely perfect! Has the best staff we’ve ever seen - especially Spyros, everyone who works in tourism must learn from him. So helpful, so friendly, we felt we are home.

Also the cleaning lady is perfect, they take care of everything on a daily basis.

I guess it’s strongly recommended to rent a bike or car because that’s the fastest way to reach other locations.

Beach is just front of the hotel, really nice but rather for relaxing as it has big stones and waves. All other beaches are 15-25 min. away, Mykonos city center is ~10-15 min., lot of great restaurants in 2-3 min.

The food they offer and drinks all are made with love, not so much choice but what they have is enough and perfect.

Design is simple, clean, lovely garden area, super terrace, amazing view.

So it was our best...

We had a perfect stay! A quiet retreat but still close enough to the town. Beautiful, well kept rooms and wonderful service. When we arrived our gracious host Spyros sat down with us and drew up itinerary recommendations on a map, all of which were wonderful but the highlight was his favorite seafood restaurant, Kounelas which was truly incredible!

Just keep in mind that renting a vehicle is a must as the place is a bit off the beaten path. We had a 50cc scooter which got us by fine in the hilly roads to and from town (and even farther down south to the beach clubs).

Upon check out Spyros made us coffee and shared ice cream sandwiches with us, and even gave us a ride to the port and we got to talk about how he came to stay in Mykonos with a job that he loves. One of the best people we met on our trip. Would 100% recommend...

We had a beautiful stay here, Spyros is an incredible host, very kind and super helpful with any questions you might have. The room was beautiful and spacious, i thought the bathroom looked really cute, but of course that's just a matter of taste. We had a lovely breakfast with a beautiful view everyday. Mykonos itself is lovely to explore, but you should get a car to truly experience all the beauty, also since it is a short drive from the city.

One thing to mind is that the beds we slept on are quite sturdy, which i personally really appreciate, but is not for everyone.

From my stay i can confidently say that anyone could have a lovely stay here and that they'll be very attentive and tend to any concerns you might have and figure out a good...
