Did someone say "What a view!"? If not, they should have.... 3 night stay at the beginning of October, the end of the season. The resort is perched on the East side on a hill above the beach. Wonderful sunrises, and the moon! Location for view and beach is the best. A couple nearby food choices, otherwise everything else is a little distance. If you like to walk like we do, be prepared - the uphill is killer....
On to the resort itself. The staff were all very wonderful, pleasant and did most everything with a smile on their face. Being end of season, one could see the possibility of being worn out ready for time away from tourists but they all seemed to still be enjoying the experience right along with us.
The rooms are sufficient, bed was comfortable in our room. We were lucky enough to get a room with a double window door so we had a view even if huddled inside (not all rooms have a view from inside although they all face one and have a small open patio to enjoy it on). The bathroom really is the only downfall. Ours had a tub shower, no curtain. Now that doesn't bother us, but you have to be a little mindful of spray. The bigger issue was the shower head, it was wand style, but the overhead holder would not hold it. It would not tighten enough to do so. I was able to Jerry-rig something to make it work, but it's definitely not a long term fix. Overhearing other guests, this seemed to be a common theme among many rooms. Lighting on the bathroom was also very limited and a supposed common issue. Our room has a floor lamp and I just moved it into the bathroom for my wife to get ready. If your one that spends a lot of time in the bathroom, just something to bear in mind. It was all still fairly clean even if it was a little dated. I've come to expect the occasional rust on fixtures in rooms on islands - just something that happens over time with the salty warm air.
Breakfast was a modest selection of eggs (scrambled and boiled), ham bacon, small sausages, breads, cereal, yogurt, apples, a cheese pie, cheese and meat with your choice of tea, coffee, orange juice, water. Oh, they also had some warmed small croissants that were my absolute favorite :) .
We had dinner at the resort one night and it was very well presented and good, so if you have a night where you don't want to venture, you wouldn't be disappointed in our opinion.
All in all a wonderful stay and we would definitely stay here again. The view and the staff will make you forget just about...
Read moreWe have just spent 7 days here, prior to coming we were very sceptical as the reviews were minimal. |But this place, the views, the staff, the location were perfect. |Firstly manners go a very long way here… please and thank you should be something we say daily, but many just don’t seem to like using them |We were upgraded to a junior suite, with Jacuzzi, very lucky. |Room - was clean, fresh and cleaned daily and the view was perfect. Not that you will spend much time in it.|Pool - fresh towels replenished throughout the day, pool clean and a great temperature, always spare beds with amazing views, also double cabanas spotted about the front to also enjoy the views. |Bar - opens around 12, but if no one is there be patient, your on holiday they are helping someone else, but they will be there. |Breakfast - same choices each day, but those choices tick the box. Hot, cold, fresh fruit, pastries, coffee, juices and staff ready with a smile. |Lunch & Dinner. Same menu, but many different options. I’m sure some will moan on prices, but we ate at a few restaurants and cost was pretty much the same. There’s other restaurants on the beach, slightly more expensive but food is great and as are the staff. |Staff - Young, attentive, and courteous. They are busy, so if you have to wait a bit, turn your head and take in the view it’s stunning. |They will get to you… please and thank you and a smile, it’s really that simple. |Taxis - front desk will organise a transfer if needed. It’s 120 euro return to the town of Mykonos but worth a visit, early or late. Again not cheap, or hire a car but that’s the cost. |The whole place is white, is clean, and full of staff ready to help, just ask and be patient. |If you want a place to chill and be surrounded by stunning views and no stresses then I highly recommend. |Again not the cheapest island but you can always make more money…… but you can’t always make...
Read more5 stars for the staff of this hotel and especially the barman who was so very kind. It helped given how many other people were rude on the rest of the island. Also 5 stars for the calm and beautiful location overseeing Kalo Divali’s beach. Likewise, thank you so much also for not playing constant loud techno music and letting us have a bit of calm, very rare on this island. I would suggest some Lofi music or acoustic folk music at times :) The beautiful pool area (except for the toilets) and bar area are really lovely also. Our room was beautiful and spacioustoo with good air conditioning. As for the breakfast, it was good and I loved that they offered some Greek pastries delicious with the yogurt but please get on with our time and offer vegan milks like coconut or oat milk 🙏
Now for the need improvements part: the Bathroom was subpar with a rusty pipe that was broken so water went everywhere : they fixed it after we asked but c’mon for a hotel that price, how come no one looked and checked this before. the shower is badly built really with a long rectangle to shower in but the glass on the side is only covering 20% in length so of course, the water went everywhere and they never gave enough towels or proper mats to help with the wet floor. the jacuzzi temperature check was faulty. We called the receptionist who wasn’t great and kept saying ok without listening then a man came with a cover to keep the water warm. That helped but was not a real fix as had been promised. Disappointing service because again you would think they check the jacuzzi works well before giving you the room. something really frustrating at the pool area: one toilet is disgusting, old, rusty with water leaking from the ceiling and the only other one smelled non stop like an ashtray and I mean a giant ashtray, not a lil smoke...
