When we booked our trip, we originally found a hotel in downtown Nafplio. We wanted a place where we could enjoy being in downtown. However parking was hard to find parking was hard being Nafplio was always busy. Sleeping at night it would be too noisy-especially since we had our baby with us. It was a beautiful place but fairly expensive. Then last minute we found Elaion Mini Suites and switched. It was only a 3 minute drive from downtown Nafplio, so being very close to the downtown was important for us. We could not believe how beautiful it looked online and for the price, we were shocked how affordable it was! || ||When we first arrived at midnight at Elaion Mini Suites, they had their own parking area which was huge for us to carry our baby and luggages. We were warmly greeted by "Bobby." He was so kind and helpful with our luggages. He made ensured we had everything needed for our first nights stay. (I must say, having elevators to bring up our luggage was a huge help!) When we entered our room, we were very pleased! There was a kitchenette, which included a sink, microwave, stove and refrigerator and plenty of space for our things. WiFi was included which was a plus. There was a couch, television and baby play pen for our son to sleep in. We had a spacious closet, which the other place didn't offer. That was important to hang our clothes and store items in drawers. Everything was ready for us. The bohemian, eclectic style of the decor was tasteful! Being on the second floor, we had a beautiful view of the Kalamata olive trees and the view of Nafplio and the sparkling sea. We saw the lights of Nafplio sparkle from a distance. It was so peaceful! We slept in with no interruptions and felt rested. The next morning we walked downstairs and we were impressed by the outside decoration and tables displayed. The outer perimeters of the place had Kalamata trees. There was such a breath taking view all around us- it was just like heaven! |||| Entering the buffet we were warmly greeted by "Rena" who was the owner of Elaion. She was such a sweet woman and made us feel like VIP the entire stay. The breakfast buffet area was beautifully displayed. There was a variety of breakfast options and coming from America, we were used to having large varieties of breakfast options. We loved the breakfast! We ate breakfast there every single morning, except when we tried eating in downtown Nafplio-which to our disappointment we wasted 40 euro for the exact same thing Elaion provided for us and Elaion's breakfast tasted better! That was because breakfast was prepared each morning and the delicious sweets made by Bobbys wife was to die for! That was my favorite part-her sweets! Our room was cleaned daily and perfected with ironed sheets and towels.A couple of nights we ordered take-out delivery and it was convenient for us when we had a long day. |||| We spent a total of 21 days at Elaion and we happily built a friendship. We were not treated like customers-but like family, and that made our trip in Greece memorable! We knew some friends who stayed in downtown Nafplio and they were not satisfied and a little jealous after we shared our experience at Elaion with them. We will definitely come back to Elaion Mini Suites! For the overall experience we had we rated it a strong 10! This is a must-stay place. There are other nice places around-but you can find nice anytime. To be treated as someones family is rare! May you enjoy your stay at Elaion Mini...
Read moreStayed here for 5 nights during a recent trip to the Peloponnese and could not fault The accommodation or breakfast.||Rooms were modern and well equipped with everything you needed for a comfortable stay including a small kitchen area.||There was a huge balcony with views of the the town and castle and the sea beyond.||The bathroom was well equipped and the towels were changed daily.||Everywhere was spotlessly clean,||Obviously the accommodation is not in town but we chose it for that reason and easy parking in the outside grounds.||It was an easy walk downhill into Nafplion and the uphill walk after eating out every night was good for us!||Breakfast was prepared for us and loaded on trays so we could eat on the terrace outside ( which we did) or on the balcony in the rooms.||The breakfast was the best we have ever had in Greece and was huge!||There was a small skillet of bacon and eggs, fresh breads, croissants,a selection of small cakes, yogurt, fruits and a basket with pastries and a selection of cheeses and meats plus juice and coffee!||We were supplied with a lid so we could take the pastries, cheese, meats and any left over cakes with us for lunch!||We loved our stay at this accommodation and would stay again if we ever return...
Read moreMe and my wife stayed at this hotel for one week. There are many advantages in choosing this venue. The location is only 1.5km from Nafplio's center, 3 minutes by car, and 3 minutes from Karathona beach, on the other direction, by far, the best beach in the area. It is far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. The room is spacious with a small kitchenette, coffee machine and everything you need. There is a seating area. The bed is comfy, but the best part is the balcony facing the gulf and Palamidiou Castle, amazing view. If the view is important to you, book a mini suite on the second floor. This venue is run by a couple which are so attentive to their guests and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. They offer many valuable tips and recommendations, and when I didn't feel well, he made for me a special potion to make me feel better. The breakfast is so rich and tasty with so many options and new items every day. The place is very clean and well decorated with many seating areas. If you are looking for a quit place to recharge your batteries, close to everything and a place where you will feel most welcome, this is your place. I...
