I 've been there because I wanted to stay at a beach near Nafplio. I found Panorama as a hotel exchange to my timeshare. It is out of Tolo on a hill offering stanning views of the whole area of Tolo. To go there reaching Tolo you turn right to the ring road of it and after 400 meters you turn right again and climb the road on the hill (there is a sign). Also on the main street of Tolo there is a sign for going to Panorama. The hotel (which works as a pension) has three levels. I had an apartment with 2 rooms on the second level, with a big veranda with excellent panorama views. The apartment had a kitchenette with two "eyes" and an oven, plates, cups and some pottery. Also a small refridgerator. So you can cook some things or bring food from outside (in Nafplio there are 3-4 greek food take away restaurants with very reasonable prices, if you want cooked food). Every room of the apartment had an air-condition. Notice to clean the filters of the air-condition by washing them, as they were never cleaned! The beds had very good linens and the matresses were also very good and comfortable. The beds are a bit noisy sometimes. The bath was very modern, with a cabin for tub and a high tech system as a shower (which makes also hydro-massage!). The hotel provides you good quality shampoo and shower gel. It aslo has a hair-dryer. There is a total lack of hangers in the bathroom (only for 2 towels) and in the rooms. There is a big wardrobe, but there are not places or stands to put the luggage. The garden is nice, there is a kids playground. The swimming pool is very clean and with good dimensions. The bad thing is that a lot of kids are playing there, diving all the time and annoying you. The pool hours are from 10:00 to 22:00. Next to the pool is a restaurant (open from 13:00 till 22:00) with snacks, spaghetti, burgers, pizza. The pizza was good (not a deep-frozen one), the club sandwich and the roasted chicken fillet also. The french fries are deep-frozen. The prices are quite high (9 Euros the chicken fillet, or the fried squid and the main dishes in general), the portions are good. In the price of the room is breakfast included. This is served in a hall in the hotel. The breakfast buffet for such a hotel is very good, with eggs, omelet, sausages, ham and salami, bread, crouassant (very good indeed!), toasts, yoghurt, honey, jam, local biscuits, one day there was greek donuts (loukoumades), other day small cheese pies, different coffees, milk, orange juice, fresh fruits. I 've seen some reviews, saying that it is not good. What else do you expect in a pension? Panorama is not a 5 stars hotel. It is a hotel working as a 4 keys pension. And I have to mention that the quality of the things offered was very high, without stomach problems!!! From the hotel the village is 200 meters away, but if you try to come back and climb the hill, I would not recommend it (especially if you have kids). The beach is 300 meters away, but if you want to go to the beach, then I suggest you go to the one in the entrance of Tolo and the direction to Drepano, as it is much better than the one in the village, which is very narrow. From there you can visit Nafplio, Micynae, Tiryntha, Epidaurus, Nemea. Panorama is very quiet (except the kids playing in the pool) and is run by a family. Read moreI’m not someone to write bad reviews but feel compelled to do so in this case. Hotel is poorly maintained and poorly managed. Booked 10 nights after reading positive reviews. The 2 stars are for the view and pool area, the location is up hill out of town meaning a fantastic view from the balconies which are all sea facing. We arrived on a Friday to find the bathroom sink tap was broken. We reported this and were told the hotel knew and a plumber was coming on Saturday to fix it. By Sunday it had still not been fixed and now the toilet had stopped working and we had to flush it by pouring saucepans of water down it. We told the hotel repeatedly that this was unacceptable and we needed a plumber urgently to fix the tap and toilet. Eventually on Monday afternoon both were fixed. Our frustration was that the hotel had knowingly put us into a room that had broken fixtures, didn’t offer a change of room or any form of goodwill gesture for the inconvenience. The hotel was far from full so I would have expected, if a broken tap was known about, to not use that room for guests until fixed. Rooms were also in a poor state of repair with a damaged mirror frame and broken drawer on the wardrobe. The sheets were changed and the towels but the bathroom was not cleaned once during our 10 night stay. We are not messy people but I would again have expected the sink and shower cubicle to be wiped. Also be advised the hotel allows non-resident guests to use the pool if they buy a drink. This was mainly families, which was OK, but one afternoon a group of 7 young men used the pool, bombing each other, being disruptive and preventing ourselves and 2 other sets of resident guests using the pool. The other guests and ourselves both complained to the hotel staff, who initially didn’t take any action, so we asked the men ourselves to stop and got jeered at. Eventually a staff member had a word with them, but seemed to be laughing along so the behaviour continued. Ourselves and the other guests gave up and left the pool. What is the business sense of allowing non-resident guests who spent around 20 Euros between them to upset three lots of resident guests who will have spent thousands of Euros between them? The final disappointment was breakfast, when there are literally orange trees in the car park to be have the option of juice that I’m not sure had ever been near an orange and tinned peaches with no fresh fruit was poor. I’m not sure if this all sounds picky but this is a hotel that is charging 150 Euros a night for the room and the experience did not match this cost. We gave all of this feedback to the hotel when we left, so I hope they take it on board and make improvements. In the meantime there are far better places to stay for...
Read moreΣτις 29/5 ύστερα από τηλεφωνική επικοινωνία μαζί σας για ένα τρίκλινο δωμάτιο τον Αύγουστο για 6 ημέρες συγκεκριμένες ημερομηνίες και αφού σας είπα από την αρχή ότι έχω δύο επιταγές κοινωνικού τουρισμού για μένα και το παιδί μου,μου είπατε κιόλας χαριτολογώντας,καλύτερα τον σύζυγό να τον αφήσετε σπίτι γιατί θα σας κοστίσει ακριβά... κοιτάξατε και είδατε ότι διαθέτατε ένα δίκλινο δωμάτιο στον δεύτερο όροφο και θα προσθέτατε ένα κρεβάτι για το ανήλικο παιδί μας.Αφού μου είπατε αναλυτικά τα κόστη διαμονής ,τα οποία σημειώσα κιόλας, και συμφώνησα,μου αναφέρατε ότι θα κάνετε προκράτηση του δωματίου ώστε να μην δωθεί και επειδή δεν έχει ανοίξει το σύστημα όπως μου αναφέρατε θα σας καλέσουμε μέσα στην εβδομάδα και συγκεκριμένα ο γιός μου, μου είπατε, ώστε να μας δώσετε τούς αριθμούς των επιταγών και να καταθέσετε την προκαταβολή για να ολοκληρωθεί η διαδικασία της κράτησης.Μου εγγυηθηκατε μάλιστα ότι η κράτηση ισχύει,να μην ανησυχώ δεν θα δωθεί το δωμάτιο και ότι θα μιλήσουμε σύντομα στο τηλέφωνο. Περνάνε λοιπόν 15 ημέρες χωρίς κάποιο τηλέφωνο σας και σας κάλεσα η ίδια στις 14/6 για να δω τι ακριβώς έχει συμβεί.Ο κύριος που μιλήσαμε στην αρχή δεν έβρισκε την κράτηση και μου είπε ότι μόλις έρθει και ο άλλος υπεύθυνος σε μισή ώρα θα με καλέσει να με ενημερώσει. Αφού λοιπόν πέρασε μία ώρα και δεν με κάλεσε κανένας, πήρα πάλι τηλέφωνο και ζήτησα τον κ.Σ....που είχαμε μιλήσει μαζί.Μου είπε ότι ήταν ο ίδιος και ότι είχε ενημερωθεί από τον συνάδελφο του ότι είχα καλέσει και ότι δεν υπήρχε τέτοιο όνομα σε κράτηση... και όχι μόνο δεν υπήρχε τέτοιο όνομα, ούτε κάν υπήρχε τηλεφωνική επικοινωνία για κράτηση μαζί μου...τις προηγούμενες ημέρες, δηλαδή με έβγαζε και ψεύτρα.Οταν άρχισα να τού αναφέρω αναλυτικά την συζήτηση μας... τότε ξαφνικά με θυμήθηκε και μάλιστα θυμήθηκε και τι επαγγέλλεται ο σύζυγος μου ο οποίος τυγχάνει να είναι από εκείνα τα μέρη και αντί να μου ζητήσει συγνώμη από την αρχή όπως θα έπρεπε να είχε ήδη κάνει για το λάθος του,σαν σωστός επαγγελματίας, άρχισε τις δικαιολογίες.Οταν τού ανέφερα ότι μάλλον επιλέγετε να δίνετε τα δωμάτια τον Αύγουστο αλλού και όχι μέσω κοινωνικού τουρισμού, θίχτηκε και μου είπε ότι έχει κλείσει 15 κρατήσεις έτσι και δεν το συνηθίζει να βγάζει κάποιον από κράτηση για να βάλει κάποιον άλλο... κάτι που έκανε σε εμένα ενώ με είχε διαβεβαιώσει τηλεφωνικά ότι δεν υπάρχει κανένα θέμα κ.Χαραλαμποπουλου μήν ανησυχείτε, το έχουμε κρατήσει το δωμάτιο... και επίσης όταν ανέφερα ότι θα έχετε κριτική 1* στην Google μου απάντησε, και μισό* βάλτε αν θέλετε... Και επειδή είδατε τελικά ότι είχα δίκιο και σας ανέφερα ότι είμαστε επαγγελματίες και εμείς και αν κάνουμε λάθος κοιτάμε να το διορθώσουμε με πράξεις,μου αναφέρατε ότι δεν είστε αναίσθητος, έχετε ένα δωμάτιο για 3 ημέρες άλλες ημερομηνίες που εμάς δεν μας βόλευαν ή αν θέλαμε, να πάμε σε ένα κατάλυμα λίγο πιο μακριά από αυτό, άλλου συναδέλφου σας, που είχατε μιλήσει ήδη και είχε διαθεσιμότητα αλλά που δεν είχε πισίνα όμως γιατί σας είχαμε επιλέξει κατά κύριο λόγο για την πισίνα και να πηγαίνουμε αν θέλουμε καθημερινά στην πισίνα σας δωρεάν.Πραγματικά εδώ πάει το κάθε εμπόδιο για καλό... Γιατί εμείς βρήκαμε αλλού ήδη....απλά άλλη φορά να είστε πιο επαγγελματίες από την αρχή όταν δεν φταίει ο πελάτης και είναι ξεκάθαρα δικό σας λάθος και όχι να βρίσκεται...
