Eartha Horizon Villas Naxos — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

I recently had the privilege of staying at Eartha Horizon Villa Gaia with my wife, sister and brother-in-law. This property was magnificent, surpassing anything I have experienced in other rental housing I have utilized on vacations in many locations. It provided the perfect spot to unwind after a day visiting Naxos, and to enjoy the company of a group of friends.

The interior of the property was spacious, well appointed, and yet simple in design. I appreciated the fact that there where fantastic spaces to be together communally. The downstairs includes a beautiful open kitchen, dining room and living room. The kitchen was well appointed with premium appliances and cabinetry. It was also stocked with a wide array of dishes, plates, glasses, utensils and cooking ware. The kitchen leads to a nice dining area with a nice sized table, and also into the living room which has two nice seatings along the walls. There is also a powder room on the downstairs level.

I particularly appreciated the privacy that was provided for sleeping areas. Downstairs is a master bedroom with an attached bath. Upstairs are two additional bedrooms with a shared bath. All bedrooms were extremely comfortable with nice firm beds and ample built in wardrobes including drawer space. The bedrooms also access balconies on each level, which was a nice plus.

Outdoor space was beautiful. There are balconies both downstairs and upstairs. These spaces are well appointed, and comfortable places to just relax or to dine. We utilized these spaces often. We enjoyed nice breezes, and the beautiful vistas that they provided of the island out to the water. There is also an area at ground level which has been nicely landscaped, and below that there is a rougher landscape that is lit at night, providing a beautiful view.

The owners of the property were extremely accommodating. Our host, Esmeralda Reska, was in contact with me from the time I booked the property offering help for our time in Naxos. She met us on arrival and was helpful not only showing us the features of the property, but also giving her advice about getting the most of our stay as we visited the island. She made herself available for questions and needs, though the property is so well done, there was minimal need for contact while we were there. Yet it was nice to know that she was available. Her friendliness was a big plus to our stay.

During previous trips to Naxos, I have stayed in town. This was the first time I have stayed more on the outskirts of town, and I was impressed by the opportunity it provided to relax. You will need a car for this property. Naxos Town, both city center and the beaches are easy drives from this property. And there is good free public parking in town. And frankly, if you are visiting Naxos for more than a day or two you should have a car to visit the expanse of the island and the many beautiful villages. Note also, that the car will need to be a standard shift to effectively navigate the terrain, but this is well worth it to experience this outstanding rental location. Our first trip to Naxos was an absolute dream. My focus on this post will be on Eartha Horizon Villa. Even before arriving, I was in contact with Ezmerelda. She was so kind, informative, would respond promptly to any questions I had and or concerns.

When we arrived at the Villa, we were greeted by Ezmerelda and her family with a delicious spread and bbq awaiting us; as we were all tired and hungry!! Before eating, we took a tour of the villa. I am a fan of modern buildings and modern furniture. This was my perfect fit. The bedrooms were spacious, everything was immaculate. The fridge was stocked as I had requested. Everything was available for us from extra towels, to pool towels, shampoo, … you name it, it was provided. We proceeded to the outdoors, where the cliff side view was so picturesque. The pool, the outdoor seating, the loungers. I enjoy fine living and this was absolutely it!!!! We proceeded to the outdoor dining table to eat the delicious meal that was prepared for us. Looking over to Esmerelda’s mom and dad; having worked so hard to make all this happen, I felt like I was home, I felt at ease and I knew that if there was anything I needed they would accommodate. They certainly did and with love and care. They accommodated with cleaning service, help with rides to town, and always with a smile and genuine care. Oftentimes you come across people who just do their job, with no genuine intention. This family was so genuine and loving. They felt like extended family. We stayed full week and there was not one complaint from myself or my guests. We plan on returning to this gem...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a magnificent villa, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the stunning architecture and beautifully landscaped grounds. The villa was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated, creating a welcoming and luxurious atmosphere.

The spacious living areas and well-appointed bedrooms provided plenty of comfort, and the outdoor terrace was the perfect spot for relaxation. I loved enjoying my morning coffee while soaking in the serene surroundings.

The hosts were exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always available to offer recommendations for local attractions and dining. The location was fantastic, just a short drive from beautiful beaches and charming local shops.

Overall, this villa stay was a dream come true. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway with all the comforts of home. I can’t wait...
