We visited the Filorian Hotel for 8 days in July, simply outstanding. We stayed in apartment 114, ground floor, looking out over the pool area. A bit more expensive but definitely worth it. Large bedroom, large comfortable bed, plenty of pillows. bedside tables and lamps, dressing table with mirror, wardrobe storage area. Door shutters ensured darkness.||Living room with a convertible bed sofa, second wardrobe, flat screen TV, with Sky news and occasional other English channel.||Narrow kitchen area but ample room with plenty of utensils and facilities for self catering, good fridge, kettle etc, free sachets of coffee tea and sweets on arrival.||Bathroom has a reasonable size shower cubicle, always plenty of hot water. Good ||hairdryer, vanity mirror, free soaps, shampoo and shower gel on arrival.||The reception area has a large useful mirror, the electric point by the entrance door has a permanent plug inserted so that the two free air conditioning units may be left on if you so desire. we did not, the air con is super efficient, too cold!. There are two free mosquito repellent plugs in the bedroom and lounge, we did not suffer one bite.! ||There is a very good free safe provided in the bedroom.||The apartment has two balconies, one then is always in the shade, both have tables and chairs, very relaxing and comfortable. with a towel, clothing drying rack provided.||The apartment was always very well cleaned, the towels and sheets were changed every day. ||The garden, patio and pool area is spotless and maintained to a very high standard. ||The pool is super clean, warm water and very inviting!. We always found plenty of free sunbeds available around the pool.||From the pool there is then direct access to the beach. Again plenty of sunbeds, two sunbeds and an umbrella costing 6 euro per day. Adjacent Taverna offers limited free sunbeds to patrons. The beach is mainly sand with a few stones. There is a small strip of stones on entering the sea but then it is all sand. shallow safe beach, pristine clear sea when calm, good fun when there are some waves.||There are a number of Tavernas within easy walking distance on the beach, we found the Filorian Taverna to be the best, both in terms of friendly efficient service, quality of food and price. Very very good.||There is a small supermarket two minutes walk from the apartment and then large supermarkets, shops, Tavernas etc five minutes walk to the main road.||The staff in reception, cleaners and everybody we met were all extremely friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble, we were allowed to use their computer to check in and print our boarding cards for our flight home. ||We had an excellent holiday, thank you to all the staff. The Filorian Hotel and apartments is most highly recommended, we hope to return soon.||Thank you Filorian.!!!|||||||||| ||||From the pool. is...
Read moreI stayed in apartment 224, it's upstairs on the left when viewed from the pool. The bathroom is small (about 2 meters square) but does have a good shower. The kitchen is shaped like a corridor, long and narrow, it has a microwave and a suspect looking double hot plate. The fridge, sink and kettle work fine, cutlery, plates, cups and glasses are provided. The living room has a long sofa which can be used as a third bed. The TV is placed to the side of this and had one English channel SKY news, there is a second wardrobe in this room. The doors to the balcony are double glazed and keep the rooms quiet, there are also shutters and a mosquito net type curtain, which is needed. The car park at the back of the hotel is not big, only spaces for around five cars, but you can park in the access road.||||So what was it like to stay there? I pretty much loved it, the view of the sea and the Albanian coast is wonderful and the sunsets can be spectacular. The staff are friendly, the bed sheets are changed every day (except Sundays). The A/C (no charge) does the job when needed, the safe is also included in the price. You get a bottle of drinking water when you arrive, there where even some tea/coffee and sugar sachets in the kitchen although they weren't topped up.||||Criticisms? As others have said, wear and tear is very noticeable, some things are loose, broken and generally showing signs of a hard life. But I'd certainly stay...
Read moreI had originally booked this holiday for 2020 but due to covid pandemic had deferred. I had originally booked through booking.com and hotel kept deposit. I did not mind as I thought we will go anyway ||We had an upgrade for 2 nights as room was unavailable and free dinner ||The day I went to get key to room we were meant to be in there was a man in the bed! Had to go back to reception and explain situation, had to go away again as the man needed moving and room cleaning. ||The apartment was 2 bedrooms with a kitchenette, good size fridge. Only 1 pot to cook so if I had wanted to cook I would have been disappointed. Only 2 good sized cups to drink from .||Bathroom very outdated, could not put shower up as attachment was broken, spoke to reception and it was fixed straight away. Bath was quite rusty.||Whole flat smelt wrong, all in the kitchen walls was damp, on all 3 walls and over a metre high, paint peeling. This is what the smell was. ||The air conditioning was good and cleaning ladies good. ||Breakfast was served in the sister hotel next door, ABH and was very good with lots of choice. We ate a few times in thines and that was very good.||The pool area and gardens were very well kept. The bar was also good. ||I paid 1756 pounds for 3 people with breakfast and feel I could have got better value somewhere else, or if I had known the condition of the apartment I would have looked to...
