ArokariApartments — Hotel in Municipality of Pylos and Nestor

TLDR: beautiful place, we didn’t feel welcome.

Our stay in Arokaria apartments was a mixed bag.

On the one hand, the positive, they are located in a beautiful site and beautifully furnished and equipped. Petros the owner made sure there were provisions for our first night, fruit, vegetables, yoghurt, water, beer. He also treated us with homemade olive oil and olive spread as well as a fantastic bottle of homemade limoncello. It is obvious he has put a lot of effort and love in the place.

However all these were outweighed by the negatives for us.

In ascending order of importance: 1: we stayed for seven nights and as per “policy” we didnt even get one change of linen let alone cleaning service for the apartment.

the cafe operating in venue for only five hours had snacks coffers etc. on a extra charge but everything we ordered came in single use low quality plates and utensils which seriously deducted from the overall quality.

Even though the venue is beautiful and serene we were never made to feel welcome and at peace. Since we entered Petros was sharing rules and limitations sparked by maybe previous experiences with guests.

When it was time to check out (10:30 in the morning) we witnessed something that I have never experienced before in any place, hotel, apartment to let, or airbnb, that I have ever stayed. While my family was still in ( before 10:30) Petros’ kids came in and started inspecting the place in a very invasive manner and actually throwing out sheets towels etc even before we had left. It took our feeling of not feeling welcome to a whole new level of...

We had a wonderful stay in ArokariApartments. The owner was warm and welcoming, staying in touch via text throughout our visit. We really enjoyed chatting with him and his children; his daughter was especially sweet and played with our daughter every day. The apartment was spotless and well maintained, with a generous supply of food, including his delicious homemade limoncello and olive oil. We loved spending time in the pool and then heading to the beach, which is just a two minute walk away, and enjoyed admiring the spectacular views from the balcony. The area is quiet and peaceful, but full of life, and very child friendly. I would highly recommended...

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Arokaria Apartments. The apartment is beautifully designed, The rooms are tastefully decorated, the beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. It’s such a joy to sit and relax in the lovely garden or near the pool. The beach is 3 minutes walk from the apartment and it’s absolutely great! The water a crystal clear and very calm. It is also not very deep so children can enjoy it too. The host Pietro was very responsive and welcoming and the communication with him was very good. In short, if you are looking for a wonderful apartment with a pool and A beautiful beach I highly recommend...
