It's possible to ask about early breakfast option those start at 7.40. a.m. or if you go out early, then they pack sandwinch and fruits for you. Late dinner could be prepared as well if you book it in advance. Breakfast starts at 8.00 a.m. till 10.a.m. Dinner starts at 19.00. till 21.00. Swedish table is offered for breakfast and dinner. For breakfast you can choose cereals, musli, yoghurts (higly reccomend to try natural yoghurt with figue jam), bakery, desserts, sausages few types, cheese 2 types, vegetables, boiled egg, feta chese has very mild taste not too salty as in EU, fruits( melons, watermelons, apples, canned fruits), jams, honey. Not aviable omlet or fried beacon comparing to EU standart breakfast, but it's country specific.
Dinner is excelent, you choose the particular second dish from offered menue ( pasta, pizza, meat, fish or traditional dish). I higly reccomed to try grilled fish, because it's cooked very tasy and quality of fish is better then in EU. Within dinner are offered many types of salads, vegetables, snacks, desserts, fruits.
Generraly the dishes are tasty, but due to country specific desserts are unteasty. I have tried jellies, mouses, cakes, but to be honest, cooking traditions of desserts are totally different vs EU, so if you like desserts like Tiramisu, Pana cotta or cakes, then they never fits to accustomated taste, BUT desserts for me weren't imporant, so overall meals are good. I found only some cakes with redberries and small buns as eatable.
Nice, stylishand modern room those fits to 4star hotel requirements. Cleaning of rooms is done once per day. Towels change is once per 3 days. Conditioner is aviable in the room. Meantime small refrigerator is also presents in room.
Very green hotel garden outside with full of flowers, trees and plants. Lovely look of garden paradise Swimming pool and sunbath chairs are aviable for free, so you can enjoy sunbath and swimming near the hotel.
WI-FI is for free and works good.
Hotel offers free transfer to the Rethymno city (5km from hotel), but 1st transfer starts at 10.00 a.m., but you can ask reception for schedule. Besides public bus is also aviable and costs 1.50eur per person. Possible to rent a car at hotel with discount. Class B car -Nissan mini rent costs 65 eur, but with discount 45eur. Cheap cars 32eur for rent are not unaviable. Gasoline price is 1.70-1.80 eur per L, so the most expensive within EU.
Excursion tours also could be booked trought the hotel and those are TWICE cheaper comparing to the EU travel companies offer. For example Novatours offered tour for Balos and Gravmusa costs 41 eur per person, while hotel local company price is 20eur per person. We took the tours trought hotel and used company Klados travel with guide Poppy. Poppy speaks good in English and German.
Free parking is aviable within hotel.
Baggage lockers are placed near the reception desk.
Hotel is located in the mountains and nearest beach is within 2km away. Driving traditions are crazy and greek drive without rules, so be always carefull.
Inside the hotel was some strange smell of medicanments in 2nd floor, I felt this smell within 1st days of check in and afterwards just used. Still don't know the smell reason.
Overall is GOOD impression, so it's costs it's price....
Read moreTerrible breakfast, almost rotten vegetables, very few options, one low-quality feta cheese and only 2 kinds of egg (even when there was an option for a crepe, it ran out before the end of breakfast and they didn't agree to make more). The place is full of mosquitoes and there is constant dog barking noise from the neighbors and at night it is hard to fall asleep because of that. Unfortunately, an unpleasant incident happened, in which we asked to change towels and a roll of toilet paper which arrived wet (could be from water or detergent, who knows?) We were told by the reception that towels are changed every three days, even though there is a sign hanging in the room (probably only for decoration…) saying that towels are indeed changed once every three days But if we need new towels the staff will be happy to assist us. After we wrote to booking about the situation in the hotel somehow the people from the hotel knew about that and then they decided to punish us and not to give us new towels before their three days rule. They said in this exact words “we actually wanted to change you the towels now but we know that you wrote booking and complained about us and that’s why we won’t change it now but only after three days of stay.( Alexander the receptionist said that) but of course after arguing with the hotel’s s manager they did change the towels. The recepsonist didnt like our requests and gave us a feeling that we are wrong for every request as if it is really excessive requests (toilet paper and towels...).We got upset and told them it was inappropriate to treat us like that so for response one of the hotel staff was to laughing to my face and sneer dismissively. Then when I raised my voice she hushed me with the hand and voice. Then the manager of the place arrived and claimed that we are "not cultural people" (her exact words) and claimed that we are complaining about small things... because we raised our voices to demand what we deserve after paying about 100 euros per night for a hotel that is simply not worth the money. I have been to many hotels and I have never encountered such an embarrassing and humiliating situation. I do not recommend anyone to visit...

As for all inclusive we arrive at 10.30 after travelling for 10 hours to be give a plate of cold beef and rice told the bar was shut a d had to pay 80c for a bottle of water as all inclusive was only tap water. No buffet at lunch or evening for main course had to pick from omelette pizza or spag bol day in day out. Food was cold and when sent back for reheating still came back cold it was a joke. They ran out of toilet roll sheets and towels were never changed the sheets were too small for the beds and the pillows lumpy cot size. The rooms were never cleaned with only 56 rooms before 5 pm The only all inclusive drinks were beer wine red was gone off and ouzo no spirits allowed not even local. The pool had hard plastic sun beds you couldn't sit on. The pool barman was the only nice person there and the one over worked waiter in the hotel. |As for the staff and jumped up receptionist katarina who calls herself the manager and the old aged Basil Faulty owner they are so rude and unfriendly its not true. The place is camered up and you are watched the whole time. My all inclusive wrist band broke and I was refused a drink when there was only 4 all inclusive guests they knew who we were. I could go on and on but luckily we booked with love holidays who helped us move hotels after 3 days to the Blue Resort which is outstanding. They should lock this place up and throw away the key.
