Villa Nomadic — Hotel in Municipality of Rethymnon

We recently stayed at Villa Nomadic, and it truly exceeded every expectation. If it's even possible, the villa was more stunning than the photos—thoughtfully designed, impeccably maintained, and perfectly set up for a relaxing family stay.

The views were absolutely breathtaking, and we loved that it was just a short drive to Rethymno—close enough to explore the town, beaches, and restaurants, but still peaceful and private.

What made our experience truly unforgettable, though, was our host, Rena. From the moment we arrived—after a long 20+ hour travel day—she welcomed us with warmth, kindness, and the most amazing surprise: a homemade moussaka (made by her mother) waiting in the oven, along with fresh vegetables from their garden. After that, we knew we were in good hands.

Our families enjoyed every moment—especially the beautiful pool and outdoor spaces. The sweet cats that roamed the property added even more charm and character to the experience (our kids especially loved them!). It was peaceful, comfortable, and felt like a true home away from home.

We spent with our family a stunning holiday at the amazing Nomadic villa. We enjoyed every moment. The design of the house, the kitchen and living room area, the bedrooms, bathrooms and the equipment were far beyond our expectations. There were soaps, shampoos, conditioners and toilet paper in every bathroom. Nomadic villa is the first rental we had up to now that sheets and towels were exchanged and the house was cleaned in the middle of our stay. The unbelievable garden with the swimming pool, outdoor kitchen and the beautiful olive trees made us feel like in paradise. The owner is of exceptional hospitality, very helpful and gave us a wonderful welcome. This holiday will remain as a wonderful memory in all our minds. We will be happy to stay again at Nomadic Villa whenever we decide to spent another holiday in Crete and can warmly recommend...

Absolutely stunning villa. Breathtaking views that we enjoyed from the living area, bedrooms and of course the pool. We chose to have the pool heated and it wonderfully warm! The clever design of the villa is perfect for groups or families (especially young children as no stairs to worry about). The owner gave us the most incredible warm welcome, with a much appreciated surprise on arrival - thank you! We couldn’t fault anything, it really is 5*, even down to having such a well stocked kitchen (there’s nothing you could want that you won’t find in a cupboard). We didn’t make use of the private chef this time as we enjoyed using the bbq area and cooking pizzas - but I imagine it would work extremely well in this beautiful space. I also recommend the 15 min walk to Cantina Banana for brunch!
