Ilingas Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Sfakia

We had a wonderful stay at the Ilingas Hotel. The hotel manager is a very kind and helpful person. The rooms are clean and beautifully styled. Beside that, there is a ton of really helpful interior in the room: a water kettle, a slidable mosquito mash for the balcony door, a retractable clothesline on the balcony, a fridge, a hairdryer and a powerful and fully adjustable aircondition with heating, cooling and dehumidification function! Gorgeous!

You can walk to the beach within a minute. There, they have excellent sunbeds/umbrellas. A set of 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella makes only 6€/day. A small bar offering drinks, snacks and ice cream is also located there.

Place is beautifull close to the beach. Room was very small and basic. Shower was not working (cold/hot) and very bad( water everywhere). The manager was friendly with sence of humour but I asked to change my tower(because there don’t do the room if you stay more than a day) after 3 days and nothing very bad service and the quality of the restaurant was also limit. If you expect silence go away, especially during the night. The walls are so thin that you hear the kitchen in the morning and the dog barking all night. Personally I had a terrible stay even if the location was one...

I ended up booking this hotel as I was starting my kayak trip from here. This is a family hotel, very well run by Nikos and his family. They will do whatever is possible for you to have a beautiful Cretean experience. The facilities are simple but comfy and very clean. Alex at the kitchen made my meals an unexpected gastronomic exerience.
