Vrissi — Attraction in Municipality of Sfakia

Vrissi is the main beach of Chora Sfakion and is located at the west end of the town. This is a nice pebbly beach, well organised and close to the amenities of the town. You can reach the beach by walking in the narrow streets of the settlement.

There is a smaller, less nice beach, directly next to the small harbor of Sfakia, in front of the tavernas, quite well organised. This is the harbor from where the ferry runs to Agia Roumeli, Loutro, Sougia, Gavdos island...

Worst beach I could ever go. For 1 it was cold secondly it was full of rocks inside and the was going deep very fast. And also it was something extremely weird , almost like it was alive. Wherever I was going something was following me and it was a cold mass and it was blurry !!! Like what the f was THAT???? I could not see the sea inside and when I was going deep the surface had a white tone to it , very weird . Not a great beach...

This is a decent beach given it’s proximity to the town. However, there are much better beaches a short boat ride away, such as Marama beach.

Be careful here, the rocks on the shore can be sharp and slippery. I got a small cut on my foot when exiting the water.

There are beach umbrellas and chairs for rent as well as a lovely taverna above the beach...
