We stayed in Grandes in September 2021, for 5 days altogether. The apartment is very cosy, finished with good taste. Fully equipped, with a separate sleeping room, kitchenette and living room. You will get a decent shower, with a curtain, which is not that obvious in Greece. The terrace, that you can have your dining has privacy and a nice sea view. The apartment is clean and very tidy.||||On arrival, we received a welcome basket with local products such as olive oil, raki, olives, petimezi, honey and a small jar with bee wax ointment that can be used as a moisturizer on the skin. There were also some different kinds of coffees and a bottle of local wine. Fantastic surprise!||||The owner, Lefterios is extremely helpful. Has huge knowledge about Crete, farming, beekeeping and all other stuff. It was a real delight to sit together one evening and share a bottle of raki.||||The beach, just a few steps from the apartment is clean, mixed sand and pebble stones. No waves, despite the strong wind that was for few days. There are showers with fresh water on the beach. The windsurfing spot is within the walking distance of the apartment, you can choose to walk on the beach (nice!) or using the road, with almost no traffic. ||||The tavern, which is connected with the place serves really good food, with a moderate price range.||||In short words - search no further, this place is a...

The main purpose of our trip was to windsurf and bath as much as possible in the beautifull bay of Kouremenos, and enjoy a remote a genuine Greek destination (no mass tourism present here yet).
The stay at Grandes really exceeded all our expectations just from the start to the finish; from a very varm and personal welcome from the family, extraordinary and flexible service during our stay (for example bringing and serving food from the restaurant at our private terrace), always keeping things clean and tidy, and more importantly being so personally involved in their guest.
On the practical side we also have to mention that the appartments are really well maintained and the owners are constantly looking for things to add or upgrade to make the stay as comfortable for the guests as possible.
We would like to express our greatest thanks for a unique and personal...
