Irini Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Southern Corfu

We visited irini apartments in sept 2016, the rooms were nice, the garden was very nice, location good, but what we did NOT like was the beach and the sea, the entire east coast of corfu in 2016 it was flooded with sea grass, I mean tons of sea grass, you could not see the sand anymore 10-20cm of sea grass, (I understood later that depending on the currents they bring this sea grass on the eastern coast - it can happen again) there was no beach anymore only sea grass. We were very disappointed because in all ads the owner published nice pictures (older pictures) when this sea grass was not there, we also talked to him on the phone for confirmation but he did not mention anything about this. We have a son and he wanted to play in the sand, but there was no sand nor beach anymore. Also when we arrived we were told that our room (the type of room that we paid for) is taken and for 2-3 nights we will stay in some other room, and when our room is free, we will have to move to our room. This was too much. We stayed only 3 nights and we moved out, we have found somethimg else on the western coast, where there was no problem with the sea grass. Beautiful place, kind host, but insufficient services and facilities.The garden and the place is amazing, beautiful. The bedrooms are nice, and spacious. Bedclothes were not changed at all, during our entire stay, 8 nights. Also any cleaning was not made, towels were changed after 6 days. Kitchen and shower with poor facilities. A lot of aggressive mosquitos, and no mosquito net. With small investments and maintenances it could be an awesome place. Internet couldn't be used at all...

We couldn't have found a better place to be for simple peaceful relaxation and swimming. Delightful hosts George and Irini did everything possible to make us welcome and our stay enjoyable. We were really sad to leave. Irini is about half a mile down the road from Kavos with its all night 18-20 partying but is far enough away not to disturb the tranquility of this place.
