Porto Raphael Residences & Suites — Hotel in Municipality of Tinos

The hotel is located at the end of the main road from Tinos Town, above the beach at Agis Ioannis. The complex consists of 25 suites, most with good sea views, and plenty of steps everywhere. Misleadingly, it is sign-posted as “Hotel and Restaurant” although you’ll be unlikely to get a dinner there. There is a large car park across the road. The use of small pool is restricted.||Our Seven Islands Suite was very spacious although rather sparsely furnished. It was accessed via a rather steep staircase. There was a large wardrobe and some storage in the bedside cabinets. We had a large balcony overlooking the sea and a small outside annexe for drying clothes. There was also a kitchenette with basic utensils and crockery. Kettle and milk were provided on demand.||The bathroom was large with plenty of room for storing things. Slippers were provided. ||WiFi signal was good and AC functioned perfectly.||Buffet breakfast, on the terrace by the Reception, was quite standard and rather repetitive.||We dined at the Balaouro (advance bookings recommended) and Breeze restaurants on the dirt road along the beach. We really enjoyed the late drinks on the sea loungers provided by the Breeze and its hospitable owner. Perhaps try to avoid the Riviera restaurant, further along, unless you enjoy loud music and an unimaginative menu. The hotel arranged a taxi for us for one evening to go to the great Malamatenia...

Mia moglie ed io abbiamo soggiornato in questo splendido hotel dal 26 al 30 maggio 2025. Esso si trova a Agios Ioannis un tranquillo villaggio situato a pochi chilometri a sud-est della movimentata cora di Tinos che è facilmente raggiungibile con l'auto in circa 10-15 minuti.||La posizione dell'hotel è incantevole; sovrasta infatti una piccola baia ed un promontorio che racchiudono un braccio di mare con colori che virano pian piano dal turchese al blu intenso. In lontananza il blu del mare è interrotto dai colori chiari di varie isole, di sera una di queste si illumina di luci intense , è Myconos con la vita notturna sfrenata della sua cora. La baia si raggiunge dall'hotel a piedi in pochi minuti, in estate è attrezzata è protetta dai venti del nord e quindi le sue acque difficilmente si agitano.||L'Hotel è costituito da diverse strutture in stile cicladico, vicine tra loro e disposte sulle pendici finali della collina che chiude verso nord la baia. Vialetti molto curati collegano le varie strutture e sono separati da piccole aiuole con l'erba verde rasata, qua e là palme da dattero si innalzano da terra e mostrano la loro chioma imponente. Anfore di terracotta sono disposte con molto gusto all'interno delle aiuole e danno un senso di antico al tutto ed un ritorno al periodo dello splendore della civiltà greca da cui discende tutta la civiltà occidentale.||A noi è stata assegnata la camera 25; essa dispone di un ampio balcone arredato con tavolo e sedie dove è possibile prendere il sole con una vista incredibile sulla baia; un cucinotto in cui è presente anche un letto per una eventuale terza persona;||una ampia camera matrimoniale con TV ed un bagno con doccia.||Tutto molto curato, ampio, pulitissimo e dotato di tutti i confort.||L'hotel è dotato anche di una piccola piscina, che noi non abbiamo mai utilizzato perché attratti maggiormente dalla bellezza del mare.||La colazione viene servita su una terrazza posta in alto, esposta al sole e con una vista fantastica sul mare; mentre sorseggi un cappuccino o gusti una fetta di pane fresco tostato con miele la brezza, che sale dal mare, ti accarezza e ti porta la freschezza ed i profumi del mar Egeo.||Tutto splendido ma l'aspetto più importante è la gentilezza e la cordialità del proprietario il Sig. Julianos, della sua famiglia e di tutti i suoi collaboratori.||Le precise informazioni fornite ci hanno permesso di visitare con cognizioni di causa molte delle principali attrazioni dell'isola ma soprattutto la cordialità ci ha fatto sentire, non come un anonima persona di Hotel, ma come un ospite a casa di un carissimo amico. ||Da notare che Julianos parla molto bene l'italiano e prepara dei cappuccini così buoni da poter competere con i migliori prodotti in Italia.||Se la salute lo permetterà il prossimo anno vogliamo tornare in questo albergo e lo consigliamo vivamente a...

This is one of the finest properties I have stayed in on my travels and holidays around the world. Porto Raphael Residences and Suites is located in a small costal village less than 100m from a crystal clear sea. It is just a short drive from the island of Tinos Chora (capital). The resort is served by a bus service and the resort is an excellent base to tour the island or while away some hours chilling out on the beach. The property has a range of accommodation options for couples and families and the suites are superbly designed and fitted out. Special mention is reserved for the breakfast - with a great selection of home-cooked options in this family-led resort.
